  1. Y0u really did a nice job on those. Great scrolling.
  2. Nice job, Jim. I to like these patterns with in a pattern. I did the eagle within an eagle and it is a good one also. Very nice work you did. I like the stain background. To me it looks better than black would have.
  3. Ya did good on the making, lousy on the price!
  4. Great cut.
  5. Looks great. Nice work.
  6. Jim it is not outlined with dark wood it is just laying on a black background to make it show up better for the picture. I like your idea though. Make a black frame it sits in. I'm thinking that would look good. I may do that one of these days. Thanks.
  7. Thanks for the nice comments.
  8. Very nicely done!
  9. That is just two cute! I have got to find that pattern. Very nice job.
  10. I saw this pattern scrolled over on Scrollsaw forum and really like the way it was done. Over there it was done by Bushman Dan and he did an awesome job. I didn't do quit as well but I will live with it. I liked his method of cutting it on a board that kinda self framed it. I routed around the board. This is a 1/2" thick piece of Popular. Popular is pretty soft, not sure I will use it again. At least not for such a detailed cutting. Mine is 11 1/2" X 13". I used 3/0 FD spirals. He used a #3 flat blade. I do not know how he did it with flat blades. The pattern is from Charles Dearing.
  11. He stated it was painted with glossy lacquer. I think the painting is what really sets off. Doesn't look like it would be difficult to do the scrolling pare. He must have an air brush for painting.
  12. Man of many talents.. that is for sure. Very nice looking and some great work.
  13. Beautifully done!
  14. If you read this thread, it tells you how to get in. Sounds like the lady is a very busy person and a flood of new requests may be more than is can handle quickly.
  15. Thought I would share this. This was posted in the Projects section on Lumberjocks website. I just thought is was very well done and made a very cool portrait of Batman. http://lumberjocks.com/projects/142210 The Gentleman that did it just goes by the username "Bob". THIS IS NOT MY WORK, although I wish it was..
  16. Very well done.
  17. Very nice!!
  18. Great job! Fun being a grand** , isn't it? I have two older Grandchildren and one young one (3 years old). The older ones got cheated because they were young when I was too busy with life to do much wood working. I've made toys and things for the younger one and the the older ones get on me about it... "never made one of those for me"....
  19. You can make one, even dense me did it yesterday. I brought up Travis' video tutorial in one window on the computer, opened Inkscape in another window. Watched the video through a step, paused it went to Inkscape and did that step, back to the video and did the next step. It was fun. I will have to do it that way a few times until I remember all the steps, but very doable. Travis' video is in the "Articles" library.
  20. I'd probably need a sit down class room session. I know how to get to my page, which has been blank for over a year, but that is it. Like how do you tell if you have "swap and shop" or "buy and sell" groups in your area?? How do you put up pictures and add things? How do you keep the riff raff out?
  21. That is a great one.
  22. Don't see New Spiral 3/0 size.
  23. Ha, I didn't even notice you were in Canada. Glad that worked out. I thought at best it was saving you $1!!
  24. Found it here and to my home shipping was $1 less than Cherrytree. http://www.thewinfieldcollection.com/product/Tractor_Rocker_Plans/Rockers
  25. Very well done!!
