    The sad thing is, in the plywood world BB is the best you can get IMHO. But for several reasons good BB is becoming harder to get. I use it for pictures like portraits but use it less and less. But there are things that it is needed for. I hope it starts getting better. I use to buy mine from a plywood company. Winsdor Plywood, but there stuff has become expensive crap... The last batch I got from Ocooch has been good so far. Then you get into other wood, which are even more expensive and when you get it it cups... I do not know where this if going, will it get back to good wood sometime. I take my "chances with two places Ocooch and Cherokee... I do not know what to do if their products deteriorate,,, would be time to hang up the scroll saw!

    Very impressive. About the only things I have tried other than wood is Corian and Plexiglass

    WOW that surprises me. I have been using their BB recently and it has been good. Send them some pictures, They guarantee their wood, They will probably replace that piece.

    That laser might fit into my shop.. I make quite a few military emblem and one I had difficulty with is the Marine corps one. It has "semper fidelus" in real small letters on the emblem. I really struggle makeing it look nice. Very small to scroll, I have used decals but that is not easy either. How hard to you think it would be to laser it on with this type laser?

    Are you using Baltic Birch Plywood? It usually cuts fine. The plywood from the big box stores (Home Depot, etc.) have voids and lesser woods in it. If you haven't try some Baltic Birch plywood.

    If you are just moving the bolt to a different hole,, I don't think that will help much... I know what you mean.

    Very well done, Ralph. I have one similar to do. But have to wait for the piece of wood I have for it to climatize. Going to be my Nativity piece for this year.

    Darn i did not see what you saw until you said what you saw and then immediately I see what you saw and am wondering why I didn't see what you saw before you said what you saw. Now I see. That is a whole lot of see sawing.

    Some very nice work... I need to make something like the honey one,, I am a honey freak! I even put some honey on chicken breasts and Porkchops when I cook them on the bbQ! Try it you will like it.

    That is a very nice looking logo. I use the wood "Coins" that Steve Good sells, because I don't have a laser. Have you thought of doing like Steves, and make a sheet of them so you don't have to fire yo the laser each time to tag your projects?     I have to ask ,,, what makes this guy we are all listening to an expert? Just curious. I am a Facebook skeptic.. Lots of "Experts" on Facebook... so many in fact I left... I could not keep up. But I have been wrong once, well maybe twice.. but the jury is still out on the second time

    That is because the blade clamps have a tendency to go flying some times when a blade brakes!

    Maybe they ship them that way to help keep the upper arm stationary, during transporting? Did I use the right stationary/stationery? The wonders of the english language... and they think everyone should learn it. And/or/maybe they ship it in that position so it is not sticking up where it could get bent and/orbroken off easily.

    Great job Charlie. My neighbor has a winery and get things shipped to him on pallets. He had quite a stack and asked if I could use any for my woodworking.. I looked them over, all junk wood I had to turn him down. I have never see a pallet with any kind of decent wood in it. you found oak I read about other that find them with exotic woods. I get no respect...

    Hummm, I think I leave mine without tension most the time because when I stop the saw the first thing I do is release the tension because I am either going to change blades or move to a new hole to start sawing again. But this will make me double check because I know with no tension nothing will be hurt whether this is true or not. So why not release the tension just in case. Could that be out of alignment because the bushings are worn?? Could be another cause.

    Will not only did you not ruin it but you did a great job of it. I picture a little light behind it and it would look to be an aquarium , - the dirty water need to be changed and the need to feed. Great job!
