  1. That is great, I have that pattern cut and collected some stain glass to put behind it. I never got around to it. I think your's looks better than mine would with stain glass. May rethink and give epoxy a try.
  2. What a cute smile! It says "Come on world, I an ready for you!"
  3. Congratulations. I remember going from a Craftsman little scrollsaw that I had to have two tools to change the blade and you could only clamp the blade in the bottom clamp while on your knees, and two tools. I went to a refurbished Dewalt. What a thrill, what a difference. Enjoy your new saw.
  4. very nicely done. the blue one is my favorite.
  5. buying you plywood from Windsor plywood? I shouldn't say them, but that is where I have purchased my last few pieces and they have been, crap. Hard to find the good grade BB plywood anymore. There has been talk on here about sheet goods you can get at places like Home Depot. Hope someone will speak up about it because I cannot remember what it is called. It gets good reviews.
  6. If you purchased one from the US wouldn't you need to have a power converter or something? The reason it is hard to get a machine, it is called government control.
  7. And he his another out of the ball park. Great job!
  8. I love your unique memorials. Great ideas and will be treasured as well as great conversation pieces.
  9. Hummm. @OCtoolguy You told me once you like to be hassled so here goes. I worry about you, do not know how to click on the highlighted U above to turn off the underlining, which you probable turned on by hitting the right multiple keys at the same time that doe it...I do it all the time and here goes, you are getting rid of a scroll saw, which is bad enough, but it is for the purpose of needing more room... so you get rid of the smaller one?! Okay, had my digs for he day,,,, let me have it I can take it!
  10. I use the Flying Dutchman and Pegas also. To me the Flying dutchmen are a little thicker and stiffer than the pegas. Both good blade, I have never tried Olsen but some here prefer them.
  11. Congrats! beautiful saw.

  13. Well, Ms @MarieC you may have won the prize for most positive responses for first picture, ever!
  14. Glad you are here. Hegners need no work! Says one very happy Hegner owner. If any of your students show a particular interest in Scroll saw work of any kind, please steer them here. We could benefit from some young blood infused into this bunch of scrollers.
  15. Yep, you need to protest, tell them we are upset because you showed originality! Tell them it will put fear in them for sure. See what won, I still think yours were best!
  16. Been doing cutting of thicker hard woods for intarsia lately. My biggest problem is getting a 90° cut. Did not realize it until I watch the JGR video on "cutting of accuracy". (Actually it is her husband's video). Now that I am aware of it I really concentrate on it especially in turns,,, Getting much better. But i do have to go slower now.
  17. I just watched Denzel Washington In Magnificent Seven last week

  24. Depends on where you live, somewhat. Some places you can get more. Around where I live I doubt it would sell for near that. Nothing to do with your cutting, it is a very well done piece. But, I have found that around here, people just are not willing to pay you anything for you time. Maybe I just have provided the things people want.
  25. HECK, I AM A LITTLE BIT OVER THREE AND I LOVE IT. I AM SURE HE WILL ALSO.
