Hey from Caliton ( formerly known as Washington), Glad to have you join us. Very nice work you are doing. Addictive is the word, because just when you get a little bored with one aspect of it, you decide to try another, and off you go again.
I pretty much use it only for fretwork pictures, in 1/4" and 1/8" thickness. I have used it a couple times in boxes, but usually I use hardwoods for boxes. I use very little of it now that it is running around $60 a 5'x5' sheet. Might as well by hardwoods. I also understand there are different grades of BB. From what I have seen locally lately we are getting mostly the poorer grades.
That is really nice. That bottom piece looks almost like it could be marble, very solid base, which is very appropriate for "love" and "family". Well done.
Thanks, I have even been to that page, kinda tempted to get on of her disks, but I did not notice the Fine Line books, Guess I was just focused one intarsia.
Nice picture, and I had never heard of JGR "Fine Lines Before Designs". I have spent a lot of time looking at her site and art and never seen it mentioned.
