    I use a lot of red oak. I like warmth it ads/ Black Cherry and Maple are also really great to work with.

    Might want to consider using a dye. I have and it works pretty good. Mix the dye with denatured alcohol, dries quick and you can achieve the richness of color your want with multiple coats. Then top coat with what you want.

    That looks to a very interesting plan . Been wanting to do a Ferris Wheel and may have to add this to my list also.

    I built my own stand. It's heavy weight and very sturdy and I really like it. Can't remember where I got the plans from but can look and see if I can locate them. It is built similar to a work bench .

    Manual uploaded to all 3 of the EX listings. Also redid the one for the Porter Cable. None of the things I changed stayed that way so corrected that also. Hope things worked this time.

    I like option 1 seems more friendlier for all around use. I do have a question though. The EX-16, EX-21, EX-30 all have their own places. The manual covers all three machines. Should it be uploaded three times ? I also have a manual just for the EX-21 as a stand alone manual. Just a little confused. I did upload the Porter Cable Manual and updated the information I remembered from mine. Pretty easy to do and for that I thank you .

    Bob If it feels and looks like balsa wood it maybe that or basswood. Neither are really great for strength. Basswood is a light cream color and pretty bland grain pattern. People use it a lot for carving since it is soft and easily worked with knives and chisels . Wish I could be of more help.

    Ray Couldn't get far in Inkscape with this. So I loaded it in Corel Draw and it through that into a total mess and Draw froze up. Thinking something happened when you scanned it in then converted it svg.

    If you can select the desired information you can lasso or highlight it. Select duplicate then move it to a fresh area. Lasso it again and select copy. Start a new file and paste it. Make as many copies as you wish that will fit then print it out. You may have to bit trace it but it works great for me.

    I do something similar. Cindy and I give out pocket angels at the shows we do. Amazing the impact something so simple has the reaction and feedback.

    I sign mine with a fine line permanent marker then apply finish over it. I sign my name and the year.
