  1. I keep my riving knife in my saw unless I am using a stacked dado set. I also use use push sticks and and my GRR Grippers . I had 3 fingers on left hand re-attached a few years ago after I lost the argument with my table saw. Safety is the first thoughts in my shop.
  2. 2 I just finished today for gifts for Moms.
  3. Glad to hear your getting some shop time. Just please don't over do it.
  4. I built one for my band saw. It uses a pin nail and does not penetrate all the way through which is good for round table tops and the like :).
  5. I have and use a DeWalt ROS. It's more then met my needs. This is my number 1 choice.
  6. E 6000 is what I use the thinner projects. Have never had a failure with it yet.
  7. Your off to a good start. Looking forward to what's to come
  8. Welcome back John.
  9. If I need two circles to match up perfectly, I stack cut them, when I separate I mark them at the top for alignment for glue up . Has worked for me many times. Also like the pattern border for #3 photo and what Dick said above. Using a washer to trace and then cut works well also.
  10. May want to post a clear photo or two to help us help you .
  11. I think I would just leave the cutting natural with a top coat on it. As for the frame, something on the medium brown, you don't want to take away from the art work or plaque itself. Nice job cutting this .
  12. For outdoor stuff I use Titebond III for glue. It is waterproof. Top coats are Spar Urethane which is great in weather conditions.
  13. Nice way to organize them. I too would like to know when you found them, they would work great in my shop. Thanks for sharing .
  14. I just looked at some patterns I did for custom work. Some of the script fonts may be a little delicate. But they are Vladimir Script, Script MT Bold, and French Script MT. DaFont shows what the font looks like but I believe you have to download and install it to use it. Best of luck in your search.
  15. There are few places up on e bay that sell reasonable and include free shipping. Ochee (sp) woods is another place, not sure about the prices or shipping as I have never dealt with them.
  16. Always nice to down size. Not sure about the size of your next shop, seems they fill up fast with lots of extra things . Congrats on the move and the new shop.
  17. I sign mine with a permanent marker then apply finish over it. I like to think it makes it unique and authentic
  18. If it's going to be painted don't matter as much as what the base wood is. What matters the most is wood movement with seasonal change. Just throwing out a thought.
  19. What ever it takes to get the job done. Nothing funny about that.
  20. I would experiment with blades. The smallest blade that works is what I would use. Puzzles seem to be all about the fit of the pieces. Just my thoughts.
  21. HAppy to hear your up and running. Always a great thing
  22. Years ago I used this when I re-did my house. They were connected to a shop vac / water filter system and worked great. Still have some left but never thought about using it on wood. Never clogs up and lasts a long time. May look into revisiting this
  23. I have been wearing the medical masks that hook around your ears. Their comfortable enough. When I am in need of a better mask I have several 3M Respirators that I wear. These you can spray lacquer or anything else with and never smell a thing. I'm looking into some a little different for saw dust so we'll see what comes out of that.
  24. I was going to suggest the same thing as JT. Make a know and mix some epoxy to join the pieces.
  25. I think I would go with Kevin's suggestion. I don't do a lot of clocks but I adjust the pattern accordingly.
