Lots of ways to address this. Bending wood you need to make a form and a steam bending box. Long process but works great. You can also cut it on a band saw depending on your equipment. You can make a jig and create the inside on a table saw carefully. Then trim the outside and sand the to a finished dimension. But JT probable stated the easiest way cutting staves and gluing together. I've done this in all the processes described but it comes to the wood of choice and the properties of that that wood.

I use tung oil for the most part. Dries quick and leaves a nice finish look.

Nice work. Looks impressive. Pricing has been discussed many times. I base mine on time spent and time to draw it up plus a marginal cost for materials.

Iv'e had that happen more than once. I went to Fed=Ex and never had a problem. For what it is worth. Dealing with shipping has it's own gremlins regardless.

Mother nature has her own mind. We did a 4 day show and got rained out on 1 day. Part of the chance we all take.

I do mine through software. But cutting out ther letters and carefully lining them up would work also.

Dave I would build a jig ( sled ) for doing this. When you say your off I am assuming the cuts don't line up on the last pass through the blade. Have you checked your table saw blade for run out ? The other thing I would check is make sure your fence is adjusted properly.

Bill I have had a few customers return after walking around a fair with broken pieces. I exchanged them no questions asked. All were told about how fragile they are. Guess it is part of dealing with the public.

I've been using 3M 77 for a long time. The only issue I have had was removing the build up. Holds great through long patterns and felt backers. Did something change ?

I'm in the process of learning Gimp. I use Inkscape for word art patterns. Both are easier to use then Corel Draw which I have but haven't kept up on it. Travis has a good video on gimp for doing portraits that may help quite a bit. Link should be in the pattern making section as Katie said.
