  1. What a great way to display business cards. Love it.
  2. Looked at it and was wandering. Not sure about the legal aspect of this.
  3. Good information Dick. Thanks for sharing.
  4. So happy to see you got it worked out
  5. I can vouch for the Ridgid Sander. Had mine for years and never had any trouble with it. For intarsia work, you will need something with more finesse. Something like a Dremel or Flex sanding ball and a sanding mop. I know Judy Gale had a lot of information on her web site. http://www.intarsia.com. At any rate, welcome to the village and the addiction.
  6. All the blades I order are 5". If they are pinless I seriously doubt it would matter. I run an EX-21 and no matter what blade @ 5" they all work.
  7. Shops are always a work in progress. You get new idea, read an article to make things simpler or cleaner. Someone you talk to the sources never end. I haven't change much in my shop for 3 years and really need to make some changes with storage and dust collection / filtration. More so filtration then collecting. Interested in seeing what you post as photos for this redesign. Best of luck.
  8. Beautiful pattern. Don't know where it came from though. Wished I could help you out.
  9. Thanks for the great review. Might have to give them a try after reading all these comments.
  10. I went through the same thing sort of. Ended up replacing a bearing. Ray was a ton of help and very patient on the phone with me. One of things he asked about was if I used the stand that came with it. I had made my own years ago. Starting to think the stand has a major part in in vibration after reading this. Happy your was a quick and easy fix though.
  11. Good luck Dave.Nice page you have setup too.
  12. You may want to look at Judy Gale Roberts site. I remember some information up there about this. Hope this helps a bit.
  13. Steve I made them for my grand kids a while back. I cut my own and I believe I used #5 blade. Keep the speed down on the saw so not to melt the sheet. And you have to predrill for the screws. I had 6 to make so I bought sheet of 1/8" at the big box store and it was a lot better deal then ordering them online.
  14. Happy for Paul and all who entered. Great job guys
  15. I was thinking something like 1/4" cherry or maple. But 1/4 BB should work as well.
  16. Maybe try writing him. I have bought a few of his patterns and they were listed as numbers not the names I am used to. But he may be able to help. Wish I could be of more help.
  17. Hard to deal with temps in single digits one day and 40's the next. Wonder why everyone is sick. Wishing all a comfortable place to be in . My shop's average temp year round is 65 and loving it
  18. Too far from me :( . Would be nice though.
  19. I have used ht eon-Line from Judy Gale Roberts. Seyco is now carrying them also. I'll stay with Flying Dutchman. On-Line have some great points to them I just prefer the FD.
  20. Dick your off to a great start. Keep in mind Rome was not built in a day and patience is a virtue. Really love what you have shown so far. Keep the faith and diligence. Looking forward to what's next
  21. Like the idea. I have been using disposable carded nail files as needed. There are many ways to achieve this and each person has a choice. Whatever works is good
  22. Maybe look for a veterans outfit close by and see what they have to say. At minimum you can get a tax deduction for a donation. And still help those that served
  23. Which one you looking for? I have a few.
  24. When I first started making these I had struggles too.I went back and watched the tutorial Travis put together and that helped a ton. Forgetting one step makes things rather difficult with some strange results. This at least worked for me .
  25. Thanks Paul and Dick. Will grab it also.
