  1. Nice to see your taking one for the team. Hope you don't struggle too hard with all that. What a gorgeous view. Enjoy
  2. Thanks for the update Travis.
  3. Have a safe and enjoyable trip. See ya when you get back.
  4. I have a few running at the same time. Not counting multiples of the same piece. Some of the things I do take a few days to do. So I switch back and forth as required.
  5. I agree with the way these were done. Just make sure you have enough support to hold the centers together once cut.
  6. Some people can get really irate when they don't get what they want or something happens. 129 Texts ? I think someone needs anger management classes or help of some nature. I don't have a lot of customers like this and when I do it is short lived. One wanted to order custom piece and politely declined, when asked why I answered once bitten twice shy. Life is stressful enough with adding too it.
  7. Great reminder of staying focused. I think a lot of us have been there. Hope it heals quick.
  8. Sorry you had a disappointing day. I try to support local fund raisers. Nice looking puzzles. Still an inexpensive day out and meeting people and getting exposure is always good. Better luck next show Ike.
  9. Glad things are working out for you Kevin. Planing thin boards can be a pain. Happy to hear you got work in.
  10. Glad to hear you did good Iggy. The next one sounds exciting. Have a great show.
  11. WOW Thanks for a great first person review. My EX is still under warranty and some of the things you pointed out give great clarity. Greatly appreciate it.
  12. The ones I have in my shop are on/off. Don't know of any that control speed too.
  13. Wished I could make it. A little much of a drive for my schedule. Would be great to stop by and say Hi. Best of everything to you.
  14. Trackman has some good advice. Draw some lines in the thickness of wood you plan to use for the portrait and play with them. Spirals cut in all directions and it will give you a good feel for how they will work.
  15. You may want to look for a warranty center close to you. Have them look at it. I had 2 of the Porter Cable Saws, the 16" then the 18". Never had that kind on problem, just wore them out. Not sure how it is put together but you may have a bearing that went bad. If it is the 90 days and you have your receipt you may want to take it back for an exchange. Best of luck Oh, welcome to village
  16. I have never put lacquer over poly. I would think it would be like putting it over enamel paint though. They don't mix and inter act in a bad way. What are you trying to achieve with the finish? What about poly are you not happy with ?
  17. Bill I would think that putting an emphasis on the control and satisfaction would be a decent a point. Also how it could relate to other wood working types, building a bird house etc. Keeping things simple for young minds and interest levels. Happy to hear you are doing this. Good luck and let us know how it goes please.
  18. I stand with he above also. Sending prayers up for you and all involved. Please keep us posted.
  19. Congrats on the new saw. Hoping you get many long years usage with it.
  20. Well you are off to a great start. Nice job cutting it, especially dealing with the knot in that location. Welcome to addiction and the village.
  21. Always so great to hear (read) about folks getting together. Happy for you guys. Best wishes for your wife Dick.
  22. Not a big fan of spirals but there are time they are needed.
  23. I pre-treat mine the same as pine. A conditioner works wonders. Makes for an even coating.
  24. Waiting for mine to arrive too
  25. Welcome back to the village. Nice to have family that can help in a crisis on computers.
