  1. Looks like there is only 2 screws holding it in under the top arm. Seyco shows that part for $9.25. I'd give Ray a call to be sure, but don't look there is much involved with it. I'll look tomorrow when I go back into my shop.
  2. Very nice cutting indeed. I like the frame also.
  3. I have done shows that the rain didn't hurt anything and others where is was totally dead. I o have a waterproof tent and sides for it. As for the people showing up, it seems to depend on where the venue is. Remember, where there is rain there is wind. Make sure you tie your tent down securely on all 4 corners.
  4. Happy Thanksgiving all. Stay safe.
  5. Dust Collection System ( safety first ), Thickness planer, Band Saw with larger re-saw capabilities.
  6. We have one locally. Looked into it and decided not to do it. They charge $40 a month plus 11%. Thought that was too pricey. I believe there area you got was 10 foot of wall space and a table for display. Looking around the shop, most of the stuff looked a little un-organized and in some what of a disarray. The people working there were very nice though.
  7. Mine sort of looks like a test tube rack. 3 rows angle up towards the read. I hold blades in plastic tubes and have them numbered in the wood where the tube are. It's small so no big foot print and very handy.
  8. I did this quite a while ago. I now need to update it since a lot of things have changed. Not exactly looking forward to it, but needs to be done. I took pictures of all the tools and numbers. Now I just need to make some type of database and enter in all the information. I have a separate inventory I keep and updated for all the wood, hardware and consumables. For the second inventory I use quick books, it also tracks sales , purchased and all the tax related information.
  9. I use Titebond 2. Just enough glue on the back of the art work to hold it. If I get any sqeeze out I clean it up with a piece of paper towel and a toothpick. Works great for me.
  10. I have a Brother all in one. I love it. Scans are crisp and it is not hard on toner at all. I would highly recommend it. I also remember this topic being discussed here before. Can't remember exactly when but I believe you can search the forums here. Might be worth the look up and read.
  11. Thanks Denny. Very nice display. Beautifully crafted.
  12. Will have to check this out when I get time. I was using a site from the Department of Forestry . It gives you the names, toxicity etc of the different species and other important info.
  13. Nice job Denny. Looks really good and I like the back ground the way you did it.
  14. Beautiful work. I have a theory about why it seems the spirals "unwind" when using. This is only a theory. Everyone knows the heat that is built up when cutting, especially when stack cutting. Seems to me that the heat would want to soften the spirals a bit so that when you switch holes, they relax a little thus giving the impression of unwinding. As for doing a cut slightly larger then the blade, why not step up to the next larger size blade. Proving you have them of course. Like Rolf asked. Who's pattern is this? I'm working on a couple from Sue Mey right now.
  15. Some epoxy for the crack and use it as a feature for a project. I'm sure we won't see another one those stars like that. Totally cool, thanks for sharing.
  16. My EX-21 is everything I need. But if I could use the money for what I want, it would go to a new bandsaw.
  17. I would imagine it is going to take some practice and getting used too. There is a V notched table (?) you use also. I have a Knew concept saw but use it for cutting dove tails. Best of luck if you go this route.
  18. If your concerned about blade lubrication. Put the clear packing tape on top of the pattern your cutting. I do this on thicker cuts with no issues. You can even do this after you drill the holes, the blade will just push through the tape.
  19. I'm guessing a lot of people resist change. I'm one of them to an extent . Greatly appreciate all the efforts and work that goes into the village behind the scenes. Thanks Travis for all you do.
  20. Congrats on the new saw. Looking forward to seeing what you do with it. Sorry to hear about the Mrs. That is an awful disease. Prayers for you and your wife.
  21. Interesting concept and adaptability. I do like this idea as setting up displays takes up a lot of real-estate on the tables surfaces. Thanks for posting the video and photos.
  22. Congratulations on your first outing as a vendor. Sounds like things went well for you. Happy to hear this news. Good luck in your future endeavors selling . Hoping they will be successful for you.
  23. I have the EX-21 mounted on a shop made stand. The stand is heavy and very sturdy and I get no vibration. Mount the saw firmly and have the stand on good ground. As for the Porter Cable. I had one, I would save up and get a better saw . DeWalt & Delta are good mid range saws. Pegas is a highly rated saw .
  24. Not sure exactly what you mean. I use either a #1 or #3 Ultra Reverse blade. If your doing fine cutting I would highly suggest using a zero clearance insert under the piece. This supports the cutting and helps eliminate the downward pushing by the blade as it cuts. You can use something very simple like a playing card and some tape to hold it in place. Hope this makes sense.
