  1. That looks like it would be perfect for my Hegner. I want to get it down off the tall stand it came with. I like to sit when sawing. I'm going to start scouring all the used sites at once. Ray
  2. Thanks Kevin. I'm going to order a couple of those bulbs and give them a try. Ray
  3. I have two lighted magnifier lamps. One came with the Hegner that I bought used and the other I bought new from H/F. The one from Hegner is an older one and it uses a starter in order to start. The newer one from H/F doesn't use a starter. Can anybody tell me whether these replacement LED bulbs will work in either or both of my lamps? Ray
  4. Brad, I can't imagine being bed/chair ridden so I can only say, I hope that you can get back up and at it again soon. It takes a while to regain strength but if you have good care nurses and they are making you exercise, it won't be long. And warmer weather is just around the corner so you'll be ready. Prayers and good positive vibes for you and your Bride. Stay strong. Ray
  5. Yeah, I'll be 75 next month so I might get my money's worth out some if I buy them now. But, they will be pricey as I have 7 double light fixtures in my little shop. Oh well, I guess I can't take it with me. Ray
  6. I forgot about the Facebook page. I just went to it and was blown away by all the stuff there to see and read. I loved the video about the marquetry. Ray
  7. Take the time to slap a coat of white paint on the walls and ceiling. You'll be amazed at how much more light you will have. Ray
  8. We have a"booze" store here that carries just about everything. I'll check it out there. I like trying out different brews. Ray
  9. Wow! Everything looks great. You have your saw on a much steeper angle than I have mine. But, I like your whole set up.
  10. Me too Kevin. Makes the most sense for simplicity
  11. Thanks Les. I'm going to order a pair. I had both my eyes done for cataracts. I used to have excellent up close sight but now, I'm far sighted and have to wear readers. I was so used to wearing glasses that I missed them. I had my old frames fitted with Varilux lens that are clear on top and they blend down to the bottom for up close stuff. I tried off the shelf full sized reading glasses but they were not comfortable. I'll give these things a try. Ray
  12. Wow! I just went there and checked them out. There are a few different names but they all seem to be the same for prices going from $12.99 to $19.99. Not sure what the difference might be. They all look good. Ray
  13. Is there a brand name or something that we can plug in when we got to Amazon? I'd like one of those too. Ray
  14. Good to hear that Dave. I'm still getting used to mine. After cutting with the Dewalt, it's a totally different feeling and experience. Ray
  15. Very nice job. I do see what you mean. Ray
  16. Harbor Freight? The whole kit or just the drum? Never mind. I re-read your post and see just the motor. Thanks. I don't have room for anything larger than a 12". I see you have all the room in the world. Lucky you.
  17. It's a great machine. Does so many things.
  18. We never see the Woodworking shows here anymore. The venues became too expensive which drove up the ticket prices and people stopped paying to go buy something. Sad. I miss them. Thanks for your help. I'll find the plans somewhere. The platen is the one thing that will be tough to come by but not impossible. Maybe an old rolling pin would suffice. I don't need anything big. Ray
  19. I like it. Now I 've got something else to build. Thanks for posting the pics. Do you have plans or can you put me on to where I might get them? Rat
  20. This is what I have. I also have a 1" belt sander and a 4 x 36" belt disc sander. I wouldn't give up any one of them. They all serve different purposes. Ray
  21. Thanks. I appreciate your help Kevin.
  22. You made your own drum sander? I'd love to see a pic of that.
  23. Thanks Tony, I'll do another search. If you still have the link, it might help. R
  24. This one certainly makes the most sense. It has no size limits at all. Thanks. R
