  1. I think Kevin did this to his Dewalt saws. He says it works great. Ray
  2. We never miss CBS Sunday Morning. One of the best shows on tv. Always something interesting. And can be something so mundane but they make it interesting. I go back to when Charles Kuralt was still alive and traveling in his motorhome around the country. Love it. Ray
  3. Excellent. Very clear. So, if we want a 21" saw, it is going to have to be a King/Excelsior in order to get one made to the original specs. Thanks for the info. Ray
  4. Another good reason for a foot switch.
  5. That's a great name. I've been married to Barb for 48+ years. Ray
  6. Thanks Jerry. I opened ok for me. You are having the same problem I had. You can't click your own link. But, we can. Ray
  7. http://www.modularhose.com/applications/mh-at-kits/ Give this a try. I bought mine here. Ray
  8. HOOF HARDENED! ICE MELTED!
  9. Well, it seems that I might have opened some sort of a can of worms. I never gave a thought to looking up everybody's profile. I may just be lazy or it takes too long or whatever. But, it just seems easier to see a name when I read a post. I do thank all of you who have played along. I added my name to my signature so now I don't have to anymore. But it will be a hard habit to break.
  10. Thanks. That was our home for 3 years. We visited every state in the union except Alaska and Hawaii. We will be going to Alaska this year. We have been to Hawaii in the past and I hope to visit there again. But after the crappy plane trip we had coming back from Europe last year, I'm thinking that I'll wait for the trans Hawaii highway to open. Ray
  11. I think I will do the same thing Tony. Ray
  12. Hey RJ, what part of Texas are you in? I love Texas. Ray
  13. Looks pretty good to me. Especially since it's a new saw and all. I'm not a fan of spiral blades though. I tried one from FD and had trouble controlling it. Maybe just practice. Ray
  14. Hi Bob, I sort of picked up on yours though. Ray
  15. Hi Scott and thanks for posting. Ray
  16. Hey folks, I just had something occur to me and I thought it warranted this new topic. We all have our "nicknames" and either pictures or some other artwork on our posts. But, most folks who post don't sign their actual names. I always try to sign my name to my posts. It might be nice to know each other's real name so we can refer to them as such. I have picked up on a few names but most are just a nickname. After seeing all the posts and topics by New2woodwork, I have no idea what his name is. Just as example here. Not picking on him at all. So, what say all of you? Names or nicknames? Ray
  17. My wife and I sold out everything and hit the road for 3 years back in 08. We pulled a 36 ft. fifth wheel behind a crewcab dually. I learned very quickly just how good most, and I say MOST, truck drivers are. And how courteous most of them are. We never had any problems out on the highway and have nothing but the greatest of respect for MOST truckers. I love to drive and if I had it to over again, I'd think hard about being a long haul truck driver. Ray
  18. It's almost as bad as super glue for "stickiness". I know of a few kids who could stand a shot of 77 on their lips. Ray
  19. I did it without heating it for a neighbor who wasn't able to get it on by herself. It is very tight but it can be done. Another thing I found out. At least on my Dewalt, when I built the vac system for mine, the blower tube was in the way. The cover under the arm that it connects to is reversible but just removing two screws and turning it 180 degrees. Now, it's on the right side instead of the left and totally out of the way. Just a bit of info for anybody interested. Ray
  20. Now, you are going to need a second new saw. Once she gets her hands on your new Delta, she won't ever want to go back to the Wen. It will end up on C/L. Ray
  21. This one has been on C/L for a while now. I'll bet it can be bought for less. I realize it's an oldie but it might be ok for a second saw or a learning saw. https://inlandempire.craigslist.org/tls/d/rbi-scrollsaw-craftsman/6532081551.html Ray
  22. I don't have to justify any of my purchases as far as the dollar amount goes. My wife only looks at me weird and questions my sanity because of my small shop. Her question is always " what are you going to get rid of?" I can buy anything I want as long as it doesn't crash our retirement account..I'm building up to the subject of an EX 21 at some point but to appease her, I will probably get rid of the Dewalt because it is of the same variety as the EX. I want to keep the Hegner just because I have always considered it at the top end and it does have a totally different mechanism. Now, if a Seyco was to come along a the right price, I might go that route instead. What I really need is to hit the lottery so we can buy a house with a piece of ground large enough to build that dream shop I have always wanted. But, that won't happen because I'm too cheap to buy a lottery ticket. Oh well....................... Ray
  23. Today, I learned something. I don't understand it but I learned it. Ray
  24. I'll bet it has nothing to do with Amazon. It doesn't sound like something they do. Ray
  25. I guess I just didn't understand that I can't click on my own link and have it take me to the subject material. It kept taking me to my own desktop. Strange. Anyway, I wasted a ton of time to find this out. Oh well..................... Ray
