    Thanks, I just went there and ordered the 20# box of domestics. I also asked them if they would be kind enough to identify the wood because I'm ignorant to anything but pine and oak. I'll wait and see if they do. Not expecting it though. R

    I was just looking at Craigslist in the Phoenix area and there is a Hegner on there that is just like mine. It has the foot switch and the light. Seller is asking $1175. I wanted to email him and ask about his sanity but I thought better of it. He will find out soon enough. Unless he finds somebody with more money than brains. R

    That means it would fit the Dewalt too. Same exact thing. Not sure which one is the least expensive though since I haven't purchased either one. R

    Thanks Al. Did you see my post above? The two screws are interchangeable. I don't know how they compare price wise but if the Dewalt is cheaper, I'd buy a one of them and use the Dewalt tips. I honestly didn't try putting the Quick clamp tip into the Dewalt screw but that might work too. Lot's of ways to go here. R

    Ok, here is what I just found out. I have the Quick clamp on my Hegner so I was able to cross check the two screws from the Dewalt. The threads are the same which would allow for someone to put the Dewalt clamp screw into the Hegner instead of the Quick clamp. The tips appear to be the same but I'm not sure they would interchange. The Dewalt uses a rubber o-ring as the holding device to keep the tip in. The Quick clamp uses a plastic sleeve. I tried to put the Dewalt tip into the Quick clamp and it fits but when you try to push the o-ring into the hole, it binds. It could probably be forced but I didn't want to do that. So, I hope this is understandable. If anybody has questions, just ask me. R

    I think all the blade makers should do this. Sure would make life easier. Especially when working with these tiny little blades. I did find that if I use a pencil magnet to hold the blade on it's flat side it is much easier to work with when installing in the saw. Once it's in and you only unclamp one end, then no problem but when installing it the first time under the table, it's far easier to hold it with the magnet. R

    I have a Hegner but I don't know what it is you are referring to. Is it the same as the rotating tip on the DeWalt? R

    Kevin, I see that you and most others seem to cut counter clockwise. Is there any particular reason for that? I'm left handed but do many things right handed. I haven't developed any particular direction yet. I know when doing inlay or marquetry that direction of cut is important but what about just cutting in general? Is it just what each individual figures out for themselves? R

    Thanks for the pics. I was misinterpreting your first description when you said "rotate". I thought you meant that you were rotating a 1/4 turn and then running another strip of tape. I see now what you were saying. A picture is worth a thousand words when it comes to me being "dense". I totally understand your process now. R

    Try as I might, I read and re-read your description of how you tape the blanks together. You might do a step by step of your taping in pics so as to make it more understandable. I know once I SEE it, I'll understand the written description. Thanks for your posting so far. I like finding out how others do things. Especially those who have experience. Ray

    Yes, I did. I must have glanced at your original posting and then "spaced" out. Old age is rapidly catching up with me.I was, once again, just adding my .02 cents worth. When we wanted a folding card table, I had a heck of a time finding one. I had seen it so I knew it was made. I even went to the Lifetime site and they didn't seem to have it. Then, I came upon it while in Camping World and the price was the best part. So, I snatched one up.

    There are many here in Orange Co. California that is. We go there at least once a week if for no other reason than to "graze" the food samples. We did buy a folding card table that is square at Camping World and the price was great. The brand is Lifetime. If you google that brand, you'll find their website and I'm sure they can tell you who in your area sells what you are looking for. Ray
