  1. I learned to use your method Crupeia. I get great results by letting the adhesive "cure" until it is barely tacky. I also use the peel n stick shipping labels with good success. I think the heat gun is the best method for pattern removal. I buy BB ply from Cherokee Wood Products. Great quality.
  2. That's strange. They have the best customer service in the industry.
  3. There may be something on Youtube also.
  4. Get yourself a $10 aquarium pump and it will do a better job than the original.
  5. Sounds like the cam lever may be worn out. @kevin can probably be of more help. Just wait a bit and he'll chime in. He's never far away from the village.
  6. Whatever it takes to gain entry to the rheostat that controls speed. I sort of doubt that is your problem being how new the saw is. All that thing does is control the signal to the actual controller board.
  7. I made a circle jig for my bandsaw. Works great.
  8. No, it was on Instructables and when I saw it I liked the idea. But none of my saws have tables that would accept something like it. I posted the idea and the link to the article here for others that might want to do it. It was not well received for the reasons stated above. I understand what you are wanting to do and I think a straight edge with 2 clamps is the answer. At one time I was looking to make a circle cutting jig for my saw to make coasters. I decided that the scrollsaw is just not the tool for that job.
  9. The problem as I see it is how to control the deviation of the blade? It will always want to wander.
  10. I recently posted something like that but everybody said they just learned to cut straight with practice. A fence or miter gauge type thing really isn't a necessity on a scroll saw.

  12. Thanks Charley, as always, great advice. Straight from the Sage.
  13. That's SOOO true. Especially when you have "honey-do's" to get in the way. Like painting the interior of your home. Ugh!
  14. Kevin, check with Denny Knappen. He attachs all his blades to a piece of cardboard that is very stout but still thin. He sells it for using as backer material. It's like the stuff they use for matting when framing. I think it's just what you want.
  15. Thanks everybody. I found it finally on Steve's site. I now have the pattern.
  16. I thought it might be but I couldn't find it. Is it a freebie or one that is on his dvd? I searched til my eyes laid on my cheeks.
  17. That was my first book purchase. Great book with progressively harder projects.
  18. I just ran across this on one of the Farcebook forums and I'd like to cut one for our front window.
  19. I bought many books. But....the best thing you can do is first, hang out here and ask questions. Second download some practice patterns and practice, practice and practice some more. A large part of scrolling is developing "muscle memory". That just takes time. And practice.
  20. Anderson Plywood in Anaheim, Ca. They have it down to 3/64". My neighbor bought some. I was amazed. It might be listed as International Trading Co.
  21. Eric, you are hooked. Welcome to our world.
  22. I ordered blades Wednesday evening. I got them today, Saturday. So they shipped out Thursday. 2 days in transit. That's what I call fast service. Thanks Denny Knappen.
