  1. Those look like the right ones. I found a set of 60 with a stand on Amazon for under $20.
  2. Thanks Dan. That means a lot.
  3. Ok, all done. Last pic. Time to ship it.
  4. We had a 2-2-2 rule that we tried hard to adhere to. Stop every 2 hours, no more than 200 miles in a day and stopped and set up by around 2 pm. Then it was off to find the party that exists in every RV resort. That's where we both learned to like wine. And cheese. And other stuff.
  5. The snowbird thing would be great. For us though, there's no place to go. Our year-round weather can't be beat.
  6. Travis, what about if I want to share a pattern that I got from a book that is out of print? I have one book in particular that I've made things from and have had folks on the village ask me either for the pattern or where I got it. I have told them the name of the book, that it's out of print and they might do a search for a used copy. I also try to include the designer's name so they can search on that. At what point can we safely share patterns that were done by others?
  7. My wife & I full timed for 3 years after I retired. We had a 36 ft Hitchhiker with 4 slides and a Chevy cc Duramax/Allison. Since coming off the road we've had 2 motorhomes. Class A's. Their is nothing like that 5th wheel when it's parked and the slides opened. No more motorhomes for us.
  8. The Pegas chucks will help too. I've got 2 Excaliburs and I have to fiddle with them every once in a while. The saw that is really temperamental for my Hegner. It really needs a bag of sand on the leg braces.
  9. Whatever you end up with, a good dust collection system will help tremendously. They make a mess.
  10. Mark, let me start by saying, I very seldom buy anything brand new. It's because I'm old. Why do I need anything NEW? So, with that said, if you really want to buy an RBI Hawk, keep your eyes open for a good used one. Do your homework and learn what constitutes a good one and what is a bad one. There are a ton of things to know about Hawks. How they have changed over the years is amazing. I am in a very high population area and there are always a lot of Hawks for sale on Craigslist and Marketplace. I have my choice of what I want. The only Hawk I have purchased was a fairly new (2010) 226 Ultra with all the latestest stuff except for the aggression adjustment on the lower arm. My point is I only paid $250 for it and it was in amazingly clean condition having less than 20 hours on it. After bringing it home and putting it in my very small shop, I decided it was just too big. I really did like it for the short time I had it but it had to go. If I ever have a larger shop, I'll consider another one. I also am keeping my eyes open for a good deal on a 220. At some point I may end up with one. That 6 inches makes huge difference in how much floor space it takes up when you think of the splay of the 4 legs. Anyway, just thought I'd toss that out for you to think about. There are so many deals out there, why spend all that money for a new one if you don't have to?
  11. I think a lot of it depends on the season. They are farmers first and saw makers second. The saws are top notch but their customer service is their weak point.
  12. That lifetime service guarantee is worth a whole bunch. I'd buy one for that alone. Between Ridgid and Wen some of the tool makers are going to get a run for their money.
  13. A couple more pics before final sanding & finishing. I think I'm going with Watco oil in dark walnut. Any suggestions? Finishing is my weak area.
  14. This just popped up on FB. That big cluster on the right sort of covers up where we live. So you can see what I've been saying.
  15. Ben, I have to agree with you. I found I was wasting a lot of the label material. I do save the larger pieces and use them as the pattern backing much like the shelf liner.
  16. I bought full sheet labels on Amazon. A package of 100 for about $9.
  17. I've had 2 Deltas. One I bought new and ended up selling it because I didn't use it. The 2nd one I bought used for $100 and it works great. I always look for good used tools and so far I've not been disappointed. If I were to buy another planer I think I'd look hard at the Dewalt "pancake" unit. It sort of lies flat as opposed to standing up. I've not heard or read of one owner who didn't like it. They are a bit more pricey but tools are not something to scrimp on if you don't have to. Buy the best and cry only once.
  18. It's all sitting out in Long Beach and San Pedro/Los Angeles harbors. We can see all the cargo ships lined up like little soldiers.
  19. I really like Elmer's spray adhesive. Seems to hold well and comes in a can that fits my hand better. Buy a small can and give it a try.
  20. Yes.
  21. 3 more days, Iggy. I'll join
  22. You won't be sorry.
