  1. Very nice Kevin.
  2. What became of the OP? Another fly in, ask a question and then disappear into the netherland? Now, I'll have to lay awake at night wondering what a light box might consist of. Fly-by-nighters!
  3. What is a light box? I'm picturing something similar to a downdraft sanding box but with a clear or opaque top that allows light to come through so that you could lay a pattern on top of it and do a tracing. Am I on the right track?
  4. I like fixing stuff but not brand new stuff at full price. Give 50% off and then I'll fix it.
  5. Try Cherokee Wood Products. They specialize in scroll saw wood. Cherokeewood.com Call and ask for Chris. He runs the online sales. I'm close enough that I drive to them but he does what he can to keep shipping costs down. Great guy.
  6. Anybody who might want to send prayers, thoughts or condolences to Faye Grenz, here is her info. Faye Grenz 6263 Depew street Arvada, Co. 80003
  7. I was just crying on your shoulder as to how confusing it is to me. I realize you're not the Inkscape guru. Thanks for your help though. Those clear instructions will help tremendously.
  8. Thanks. I think I get it. Now, if I could just understand "trace bitmap" things would be great. One of the things I've tried to do but so far have failed is to import a pic, do a trace bitmap and then tried to break it all down into pieces and parts so that they can be manipulated. Sometimes I can do it, sometimes not. "Group", " ungroup", "break apart" you name it. Still a mystery to me.
  9. When I say "Yes Dear" she comes back with "don't be a smart-ass". Maybe it's how I say it.
  10. Right on the money! On all counts! I'm not sure I can keep up with 1750 strokes per anymore though.
  11. Will it still print at full size?
  12. When I told her I was going to buy another saw, she just shook her head. But when I sell something for more than I paid for it, she brags me up. And wants her share. Sonething wrong there.
  13. Too many years invested to change now. The problem is, she still thinks she's right when I know I am. Not sure what to do about that.
  14. You did a masterful job on your "how-to" Brenda. I get messed up on the "trace bitmap" command because of all the settings in the trace bitmap box. I have no idea what any of them mean. Also, how do you fit what you want printed into the small box on the screen? Many times what I'm working on will be part in and part out of the box.
  15. Been married 52 years. I know what you're sayin'.
  16. I was thinking Santa Barbara. That's sorta mid way ain't it?
  17. I got spanked for it so I have tried to refrain.
  18. Maybe we can find a mid point.
  19. Thanks, I feel that this is my second family. I know I go off on politics at times but I'm passionate about what is happening to our country and Les was in total agreement.
  20. No, just want to have lunch with you. The saw runs fine. Table is rough and didn't get anything with it so I'll have to spend about a C-note for clamps and a wrench and a Quick clamp. It does run fast though.
  21. Paul, if you drive down and buy me lunch, I'll give it you for what I paid.
  22. Paul, I did. But I am in 9 x 13 shop with 3 other saws and a bandsaw and other stuff. I can't keep it.
  23. Kevin, most of the printers will tell you that you are out of or low on toner. Check on youtube for a way to override that. I bought a Brother color all in one a few years back. I'm still running the black cartridge that came with it. When it warned me about the toner, a did a couple of button pushes and reset it. Still going. I bought my printer for $225 dollars and it performs great. No inkjets for me. The only downside is I can't print photos. For that, I go to Costco.
  24. Please do. It might be just what I need.
