  9. Kevin, Correct. There is scrollsaw, scrollsaw2 and scrollsaw3. I have them on my computer and can use them in Inkscape. They came with the Pattern Printer? Been a long time since I have had them. I do not remember how I got them into Inkscape fonts. I believe they have to be added to the fonts program on the computer. Larry
  10. Here is link to post at SSWC on this same subject. If I read the post correctly there is a flaw in the blade and they are being replaced? https://forum.scrollsawer.com/forum/scroll-saw/tools-and-blades/860932-its-the-blades-not-me Larry
  11. Go to this site and scroll down to free fonts and you should find it. http://www.otbpatterns.com/free-scroll-saw-patterns.php Larry
  12. Outstanding. Sometimes we run into sticky situations. Larry
  13. Steve Good has a plan for one of the jigs. Has a slot so you can do various sizes. I made one without the slot. Works great. On Steve's site http://www.stevedgood.com/catalog/index.php search for compound cutting jig. Larry
  14. The following is from Solan's web site description of their plywood: All sizes widths & lengths shown are (+/- 1/8") to allow for the blade width while cutting As this is an import plywood it is manufactured & sold using the metric system. The US measuring system of inches shown in the thickness below is very close but not Exact, but within a few thousands of an inch. Larry
  15. This same discussion is on on another forum. Should answer some questions on replacement parts. https://forum.scrollsawer.com/forum/scroll-saw/general-scroll-saw/858962-pegas-blade-chuck Larry
  16. Our own Village University forum has some fantastic videos and written instructions for portrait patterns using Gimp. Gimp is a free download and is fairly easy to pick up on. Also has videos/instruction on using Inkscape which is also a free download. Larry
  17. No more cutting for me. Will adopt the pop it off trick. Thanks. Larry
  18. I use glue sticks on some of my smaller projects. Works good. Did find out it will not stick on the vinyl shelf liner. Larry
  19. I cut the plastic off, also. Larry
  20. Been there. Done that. Larry
  21. You can pre-order the Pegas heads for DW788 and Delta 40-694 here. If they fit the 788 I am almost certain they will fit the Delta 40-690 also. https://www.bearwood.com/product6155.html Larry

    Delta 40-690

Here is link to 40-694 manual. Some have posted that they did not get manual with saw? Also that the pin that connects table to body is loose in box. If the 694 is only almost as good as the 690 it is still a good machine. http://www.deltamach..._Manual_E-S.pdf Larry

    Delta 40-690

The light was not bright enough for me and it would not hold in position. Within a short time after I had mounted the saw on the stand I nearly knocked it over twice or more. Plus I sit while sawing so had my own stand I had built for my old saw that it fits on. I still have the light and stand in back of the shop taking up space. By the way, the light I use was found at Goodwill for 3.98 it has a long flex arm and I have it attached to the upper saw arm. Looks odd there, but it works great. Did a search on sites that list the 40-690 for sale. Most show no longer available. One has it listed under discontinued tools. Did not find any dealer that has new one currently for sale. Several of the reviews of the 40-694 refer to it as the successor or upgrade of the 690. Larry

    Delta 40-690

My 40-690 came with 5 yr warranty, light and stand. Those three and being on sale for 399.00 is what kept me from getting 788 which had 3 yr warranty, no light, no stand and much higher price. Course found out the light and stand are, for me, only good for taking up space somewere. I give it a 5 across the board. It is now shown as discontinued and replaced by 40-694. Larry
  25. Thanks Jes. Very good presentation. I use Steve's instructions for my jig also. Simple yet very effective. I recently got the Grrriper. It now has a saw mark on it. Rather that than a finger. Larry
