  1. Awesome story. Thanks for sharing both the story and your expertise. Merry Christmas!
  2. looks like a great shop.
  3. No, There was some interest but nothing sold. I was actually surprised that not much from that display went at all. I was hoping the compass rose and anchor would have gone.
  4. End of day 2 - sales were about as good today as yesterday. All in all, after booth cost, close to $1000. Ended up selling all the Charlie Brown trees!! Wish I could figure out how to market the word in word Christmas signs. I have had those for a few years now and no one seems to look at them.
  5. Those are cute. If you hadn't said wool holder, I would have thought a paper towel holder.
  6. Well Day one & done! It was exhausting. Did very well. Hubby turned out to be a great sales guy!!! Was right up there promoting everything. Correcting those that assumed he did the work. Around $450 profit. Funny how everyone thought the Charlie Brown trees were "So Cute", "Great Idea" but haven't sold one!! Santa Keys are good sellers. A few people saying they wished they had them 20 years ago when their kids were younger, but not needed now!
  7. Thanks Marg, They were one of the Covid projects!
  8. Thank you Brenda.
  9. Well, got things set up today. Sale starts tomorrow at 10! Here is what I got set up.
  10. Thanks for the link to the video. Very educational. I think I need to bookmark that for review occasionally.
  11. I have been making the Steve Good personalized snowman ornaments. Finding them quite tedious to cut. Using 1/8" bbply and a Pegas # 1 mg blade. It is taking about 3/4 of an hour to cut one. Been only able to cut two each session. (Could also be because I have been sick the last week). I was going to try to figure a way to stack cut them. My thought was to cut all the blanks, those being the standard ornament and then match up the name plate areas. I never did get around to doing that with these ornaments. Maybe next year! Regarding how to stack cut, I saw an interesting video on a facebook page that I will have to try. The person taped both sides of the blanks. Sprayed adhesive on the tape an the stuck them together. When the cut was complete, just had to remove the tape and "voila" ! Multiple pieces.
  12. Very nice work. Can't wait to see the totally finished project.
  13. There is no machine required. I have "heat shrink" bags that I put my puzzles into and then turn the hairdryer on. Still need to get proficient at using them because sometimes the bag is too big for the item and there is a lot of "scrunch" so it isn't as smooth as I would like.
  14. This is what I am using. It is quite soft so no unexpected manicures!!! Haven't had anything break yet while using it.
  15. I purchased a nylon brush set intended to scrub tires. I use the domed one in my drill press to remove the fuzzies and smooth the edges. I will also use it after I put a finish on again, just to smooth it out. Seems to be working fine. Tried to find a link for it but couldn't. I did purchase it at Canadian Tire.
  16. Jim, Looks greats. How much are you charging for the cat puzzles?
  17. It should be interesting. Hubby is joining me to help sell/man the booth. Not sure how that will play out. He is not a sales guy in the least!! Doesn't normally help with any of my hobby!! Has already said, might not sell for the right amounts!!!
  18. Just checking out my stock levels. Have not been involved in a sale in a couple of years. Last one was 4 hours in a church where I didn't sell very much. Doing a 2 day indoor event next weekend. I think I have enough!! Lol I will take pictures if the final setup, promise!!!
  19. I made that one years ago for my niece. I used a darker stain on it. Not sure that I have a picture of it!
  20. I have ordered from Garnet Hall as well. He just used regular Canada Post on my last order so it was just the cost of a stamp! Took about a week to get to me, but I blame Canada Post on that not Garnet!
  21. Simply lovely.
  22. Lovely!
  23. Never to early... there are only 15 more Fridays till Christmas!
