  1. Your Christmas presents are early this year!
  2. As was said above, read the manual. The best tip I can give is 1. its real easy to overtighten the blade clamps - so don't! 2. Watch the YouTube videos made be Advance Machinery a couple of time each. You are gonna love it.
  3. Overtime for you. Oh, you are the owner of the business? No time and a half for you.
  4. That is the best idea I have seen in a while! Thank you!
  5. Contact Bushton MFG. They make Hawk's now and have great customer service. http://www.bushtonmanufacturing.com/index.html
  6. Thank You!!! I thought it was a Steve Good pattern. Interesting that it is not on his catalogue page http://www.stevedgood.com/catalog/index.php Thanks again, maybe I am not losing my mind!!! Jim
  7. I think that is my Etsy site.
  8. He is one the the people I follow and did not see it when I looked. He does some really nice items.
  9. I am trying to find this pattern again. I know I had it, since I have cut it at least once. I tried our pattern library, Steve Good's catalogue, and every place else I can think off. I know it was not from someone who sells patterns - I am pretty cheap
  10. Craigslist can be good. If you are on FacePlant Facebook, check out Marketplace - like Craigslist, but you can see who is selling because they have a FB page. Look for a Hawk or Hegner (I love my Hegner).
  11. Pattern source?
  12. One of the hazards we all face - tools know we like them and will follow us home.
  13. Thanks Travis for making this "a shelter from the storm" of today's politics.
  14. The one I remember is: "He lit a match - to check his tank - and now they call him - skinless Frank - Burma Shave".
  15. Kevin, here is a youtube video of someone doing this upgrade. It's not a nice as the release in front, but unless its a 22" saw it would be doable. Or you might be able to replace the upper arm (about $180) to get a front release.
  16. Instead of ear protectors, get a pair of headphone and listen to your favorite music. It's the only way to scroll.
  17. I keep my sons supplied with kindling for there fireplaces with with those types of projects!
  18. My says I've lost my mind!
  19. It's a steal!! Around here, older single speed Hawks go for$400 - 600.
  20. Being a cheap skate, that was a hard thing to get into my head - it just went against the grain I was brought up with. I know, blades are cheap. Sound silly but it true for me.
  21. Last week I got the latest Wooden Teddy Bear catalog in the mail, well actually just the cover with the same kind of note " sorry we damaged this." Kind of annoying, but at least I was not out anything important.
  22. That is Steve Goods best pattern ever - IMHO. Well done Innar.
  23. $130??? I would give three times that amount for a G4 without seeing it and still think I stole it!
  24. That's what I thought when I started, but it was really soft wood and I think Mahogany is harder. I could be wrong though, since I have never cut Mahogany.
  25. This is a Steve Good patten I cut from 3/4 inch "mystery" wood. Someone gave me a piece of wood salvaged from a home remodel. At first I thought it had stain on it, but that was not the case. My guess is it is Redwood. It is very soft, cuts easily, but did have some tearout . Cut with FD-UR3 on the Hegner. . Used 2 blades, the first one was replaced because it was getting dull. Since taking Scrappiles's advice, I am not breaking any blades
