NOPE--Nope and NOPE! At that rate A.K. YOU just quit cigars!
Brand is deliberately generic!
Sorry the site does not seem to like my normal pictures!
They are 10 meg-- so I reduce to 10% to get them to load.
The engine side panels are cut from thin stock as a pair - I split 1-by and then sand a little thinner. Stationary Belt sander does that well.
Another hint-- mystery piece is plastic and cork! It was not modified-- just mounted.
COME ON EVERYONE ---Think rjR--- NOT NORMAL!
Made from salvage materials even some of the dowels were salvage. New paint though!
A mystery part on the tractor!
I want to see who can find it/identify it!
I assure you it is very visible!
I used plan C!
After separating the cracked segment, I carefully heated the next section with a heat gun--(Like a hair dryer-- just designed for heat--H-F special) let it get semi-fluid--- shoved it over and used a plier to crimp it down- needle nose and on saw side of knob--(it was hot enough to burn fingers)-- has worked well ever since and that is a few years ago already!)
I had forgotten about it until this post.
I had tried the tape and rubber bands thing and it did not work well! This took longer-- better results.
Still get to keep the "AMAZING" part on!
Neat job!
I remember growing up in NW North Dakota-- both too wet and too dry!
I will take too wet anytime--Unless it is so severe as causing flooding!
You can also rig a small shop-vac along the top of the arm with zip ties and use a finer nozzle on it! Might even be able to position it by adjusting the ties some. Then put a square fan with a furnace filter taped to one/both sides and use it as an inexpensive collector. Not great solutions; but, economical and will help a lot!
Hope this helps.
The technique for the transfers is easy! Doing it is tricky.
Buy/beg/ borrow/ or "appropriate" as needed for the project some computer print labels of some kind.
(I bought CHEAP cd labels)---
Peel the labels off one sheet at a time as you need the sheet. Throw the labels away or ???
Open your favorite photo program -- edit-- size-- etc. your image-
when happy with image-----
Use flip horizontal so it turns out backwards---Some programs call this T-Shirt mode--
Print on the shiny side of your backing paper--THE SAME SIDE the labels had been on!
NOW TRICKY part
Very carefully pick paper off printer-- CAREFUL not to touch IMAGE!
Put some tap on edges
Lay VERY CAREFULLY of the wood-- TAPE FIRMLY DOWN
Now press over entire image! I actually used a finger and just went over it like I would have contact paper-- BEING EXTREMELY CAREFUL not to let it move at all
Now give it a little time --- GO HAVE LUNCH ?? When you are sure it is dry; you can clear coat it--spray polyurethane works well--- MAY BE other things that do too.
Practice on piece that can be re-sanded or thrown away.
Good Luck! I did find this technique on this site I believe-- SO I CAN not take credit for the idea! But, it does work!
AS a toy maker; currently working on a tractor/wagon set, I like your little McCormick tractor!
Nice work!
Mine are usually an older style! I may have to "borrow" from your excellent design!
Vista print is a decent place to get business cards at reasonable rates! http://www.vistaprint.com/?dr=1&GP=8%2f13%2f2014+5%3a24%3a41+PM&GPS=3255816412&GNF=0
A have been asked to make a display for martial arts belts that can be wall hung.
I need to know sizes etc. that are appropriate and any ideas of any kind to help.
The person is soon to be getting the TiaKwanDO (Probably spelled very badly) Black belt soon.
I appreciate any ideas and sizing suggestions. Thanks to everyone.
Can email directly if you wish [email protected]

As a "cook-off" of pork butt roasts is occurring at our place tomorrow night; I thought the contest winner should get an AWARD!
Scrap lumber ---some scroll sawing, some sanding, a little woodburnign and the award is ready!
