  1. If you don't like the look of poly, why use it? I don't like the look of poly on my scroll saw projects. For a final finish I always use spray can Laqcuer. In fact I use semi gloss as I don't like high gloss. Laqcuer dries real fast, so I can apply two coats within a half an hour. After the Laqcuer dries, I use a folded piece of brown paper bag to smooth out the finish and remove any dust nibs. The result is as smooth satiny finish!

  8. Nice work on your first project! I see you used pine. It makes for good practice wood. Soon you will move up to hardwoods.
  9. It looks like there is a chunk of the bellows sitting on the base of the saw. You can see where it broke off at the top.
  10. I can't get on their website. It requires flash player which is not available on my iPad. I contacted Steve Good to inform them that they need to upgrade their site. Haven't tried it latley. Just tried again, still can't get on.
