  20. I have seen the new Jet saw. As was mentioned, it is strictly a bottom feeding saw. I am a top feeder. I will never go back to bottom feeding so the Jet will never be a consideration for me. I know I will be ragged on this, but so be it !
  21. Yes I know Steve reccomends it, or used to recommend it. But the fact is lemon oil and orange oil are not designed as finishes. I have been touting this for years. I wish he would post about this as I have communicated with him about it.

Great project John! I wasn't impressed when I saw the pattern on Steve's blog, but yours came out great!
  23. Why would you use lemon oil? Lemon oil is a polish, not intended as a finish. As you have found out, it never dries. Using an oil to bring out the natural color and grain of the wood is what I do, but you have to use a product that is intended as a finish. I use a 50/50 mixture of boiled linseed oil and mineral spirits. Then when dry, I use Deft semi gloss spray lacquer. Always read the label. If it say polish or cleaner, it is not a wood finsh!
  24. Beautiful work Rick! can you tells us what woods and blades you used, and who's pattern?
  25. Cool work Kevin!
