Good to have you back Edward! I think Square is great. I had a show last week and more than half of the sales was by credit card. I use my full size iPad with a hotspot for cell service. Have never had a problem!

Don, I don't know who designed it, but you can find the article at woodgears.ca. I cut these when I do demos at the Woodcraft store. Just like the article shows, I save the waste cuts and turn them into pins. I give these pins away at shows.

Rolf, I have a Dust Deputy hooked up to my random orbital sander only. I sand all my wood blanks with this setup. I clean the filter in the shop vac once a year. That's how effective the Dust Deputy is!

Try Sloan's Woodshop. They sell Olson blades and shipping is not so bad.

To add to what has already been said, I sand the blank to finish grit, usually 220 grit before I cut. Then after cutting, I use a folded piece of 220 grit sandpaper to touch up any fuzzies. if the right blade and cutting techniques are use, I never have to sand the edges or inside cuts.

If I'm cutting pieces from inside the stack, I use the hot glue method. If the edges are part of the piece, I use blue painters tape on the edges to keep the stack together.
