  1. Very nicely done. If it looks that good now, imagine what it will look like with the finish. I too am finally getting off the fence. I ordered some intarsia pieces yesterday. Two from Kathy Wise, and a couple from Judy Gale. I have been back and forth for years about doing intarsia. Well better late than never. Once again thanks for sharing, and looking forward to seeing more of your work.
  2. Great job, especially around the eyes. Thanks for sharing
  3. Sent Priority Mail direct from heaven..... Congratulations He is perfect.... YA DONE GOOD MOM AND DAD!!!!!
  4. Hay Dan Its unfortunate that the everyday layman doesn't quite understand all the prep work, cutting designs, and redo work that goes into a top notch piece such as this. Reading your post shows just what a craftsman you are. Redoing, pieces, paint not just right do over, re-cutting pieces etc. Well sir the everyday layman might not understand, but we do....... Now that it is finished, its time to step back and bask in the sunlight so to speak. All of your efforts, and your talents are well projected in this piece. Thank you for sharing, its a pure joy to observe top rated work such as yours. "YA DONE GOOD BOY"
  5. Outstanding piece. A pure angel in every sense of the word. So sorry for the family's loss. We too lost a 1 1/2 year old little boy in our family. Many years ago. It is never easy to deal with the loss a family member. When it is a child there are no words to explain it. My condolences to your family.

  7. These are items that people eat up at craft shows... You can't make enough of them.. They look great. Thanks for sharing.
  8. Hey Gordie very nice. Mothers day not too far away. Thanks for sharing.
  9. Hey Kevin, always a pleasure to see your work. Thanks for sharing
  10. Hey Ray its like anything else. You get what you pay for. HF is ok for some things but the bottom line most of their stuff is garbage. If you want screw drivers, tapes, files that sort of thing HF is ok. As far as power tools go save your money. Dewalt is the way to go. They are a work horse and they do the job. As other villagers stated, keep the rollers clean and chain in good order and you won't be sorry. I use my planner daily. Bought it several years ago and haven't looked back.
  11. Hey Buddy tell Sarah my birthday is in Sept..........
  12. Interesting Idea..... That should be a good seller at the craft fair. Thanks for sharing.
  13. Paul very nice indeed. Thank you for sharing. Glad you are getting use to the flat blades. You are blessed indeed. To be able to attend your son;s retirement. Please thank you son for his service. and enjoy the party.

  15. Hey Buddy, Sorry to hear you are not up to snuff yet. Like Kevin states take a run around the SSV. Cannot believe the information stored here. You will be better before you know it. Besides you don't want to sneeze on that new saw Listen to the wife, rest up, and drink plenty of whatever makes you feel better. If you were on this side of the pond I could hook you up with a little of Franklin County's finest. That avatar is not a cartoon, it is a picture of me. Get better my friend.
  16. Very nicely done. Excellent cutting. Put one of your country frames on it and another great piece. Thanks Gator for sharing.
  17. Very nice touch with the colored apple. Sort of like a Photo where everything is black & white except for one featured item. Nicely done my friend and thanks for sharing.
  18. A awful lot of cutting for 3 hrs. You need to add "wide open" to your name. Great job Kevin, :Love seeing your work.
  19. Really enjoyed the story. I am glad that you are interested in this venue.. We all had a similar start one way or another. Keep at it and enjoy the journey. There are a lot of great adventures ahead of you, enjoy everyone of them. Thanks for sharing.
  20. Hey josh I am not too familiar with exotic woods. Most of our intarsia scrollers would be the ones to talk with. I am sure they will be here shortly giving there advise. Personally I try to stick to Red Oak, Walnut, Maple and Pine. Four of your classic basics. BB Plywood 1/4 inch is the staple for fret work. That's my two cents worth. This is a good topic, I am looking forward to following this one.
  21. Very nicely done... Practical pieces such as these always seem to sell well. People see them and they just have to have one. And when they are completed with the level of craftsmanship such as these its a win win. Great job as always grampa, and thank you for sharing.
  22. Good Job Roly. Those animal puzzles will be a crowd pleaser for sure. Good luck at the sale. Nice variety of items something for everyone.
  23. What about putting watermarks on the patterns?
  24. Hey Ron, Nice work. That second plaque looks like BoB's design. He is one of our resident designers, who graciously posts his designs for us to use. A very talented man. Keep up the good work, and thanks for sharing.
