  1. Does anyone know of a way to make a fence for a scroll saw, to allow cutting of straight cuts, perfect right angles, and measured angles?
  2. Thanks, Larry
  3. I was hoping that there was a way to make one using my Dremel. Some great posts. Thanks to all for the help.
  4. I need your recommendations for making straight cuts on a small scale (from 1/2 to 12 inches). Is there such a thing as a miniature table saw?
  5. Thanks everyone. I will try the resources you mentioned.
  6. I need some expert help. I am trying to cut come very finely detailed portraits using two stacked sheets of 1/8" ply. The tiny drill bit that I use will only penetrate one layer of the wood. I have not been able to find any drill bits and the reduced-size chuck to hold them. Do any of you know how to solve this? Where to get the needed tools?
  7. I finished cutting the Jerry Rice portrait today. This might be my favorite so far. I'm really pleased with the intensity of his facial expression. Just the way he played.
  8. I recommend doing a "virtual" trial using a digital photo and a photo manipulation program. You can add some torching effect to the photo and see how it looks before you make the commitment on your project. I do this sometimes when I'm not sure about cutting out an area on my projects.
  9. Thanks, everyone. Your comments mean a lot to me. I'll post the photo here when I finish it.
  10. Got this one nearly done. The greatest NFL receiver of all time. What a thrill it was to watch him. I made the pattern using GIMP2 and a photo I got from the internet.
  11. Your work is beautiful. I think it is wonderful that you learned from your grandfather. I would love to pass along some skills to my own grandson someday.
  12. Great idea!
  13. What a great team.
  14. Incredible!
  15. That's your first???? Looks like a seasoned pro.
  16. I was able to read it all easily. You did a fantastic job.
  17. Thanks to all of you. I used to play guitar, and I've always thought that Eddie Van Halen is the greatest.
  18. Merlin, I made the pattern from a photo. I used GIMP.
  19. I just finished cutting this portrait of my favorite musician. No stain or finish yet.
  20. That is INCREDIBLE! Gator, you are a brave scroller.
  21. Kevin, you have such amazing talent. I am always impressed with your work. I'm sorry to hear about your pain, but glad you are getting proper treatment. It's sad that it took the medical profession a year to find the problem.
  22. Incredible work. I love them both. I vote for unstained finish for the girl.
  23. Thank you all. I had fun with this one. I didn't have to design a pattern. I just took one of Schulz's drawings and erased the lines necessary to make it work on the saw. No real planning, just execution, and that part was fun.
