  1. I just cut this quick portrait of my favorite actor. I made the pattern from a screenshot from the movie, "Hondo". 5x7" baltic birch ply. Pegas 2/0 spiral blade.
  2. Denny, this one wasn't difficult at all.
  3. This one really went pretty quick and not difficult. Tiny 2/0 spiral blade made it a breeze.
  4. Len, I will probably just put it on the pile of my previous projects up in a closet. Wife is talking about framing it with another old west cutting in a double frame.
  5. Finished cutting the "Cowboys Roping Steer" project. The Pegas spiral 2/0 scroll saw blade is da bomb! I believe that the original painting is by Olaf Weigsdorf, for the movie, "El Dorado".
  6. What a great pattern. I love your work.
  7. Thanks for the comments. I used GIMP2 to create the pattern.
  8. The grassy area of the picture has over 450 cuts...what the hell was I thinking?
  9. I made the pattern for this from a painting which I found online. Pattern design took about one hour. Cutting the project took over 25 hours.3/8" Baltic Birch ply. No stain.
  10. Kevin, thanks, it means a lot coming from you.
  11. I use GIMP2 program.
  12. I cut this portrait for my Kona cousins.
  13. Thank you all for the comments. I believe that I posted the pattern here on SSV. If you can't find it, just let me know. I signed it with a woodburner. For all of you whiskey lovers, if you haven't tried Pendleton yet, be sure to make it your next purchase. Wonderful flavor and very smooth.
  14. I cut this lighthouse pic for a co-worker, and this is what he gave me in return. Oh sooooo worth it!
  15. Well done. That's exactly how I got hooked on scrolling portraits. I tried one of my grandson, and it turned out nice. Ever since then, I have been addicted and loving it.
  16. I just posted the pattern in SSV (new patterns), if anyone is interested.
  17. I just finished cutting the "2 Mustangs". I made the pattern from a photo I found online. I haven't sanded, stained or finished it yet. I just stuck it in a frame to get this photo.
  18. I have an update for this project. I was perfectly happy leaving the sky as I originally cut it, after all of you told me to leave it alone. I sat back, had a beer and let it be. Then wife looks at it and says, "the sky needs something". Well as you all know, that's all it takes to make you fire up the saw and do what you can to please her. Soooooooooooo..........here's the updated version.
  19. Len, I posted this pattern here for the group.
  20. Nice job!!! I am honored that you cut my pattern. This is a first (that I know of) for me. Keep up the great work.
  21. I'm not quite done with the Mach 1, but I couldn't help sharing this project. I'm kinda liking it so far.
  22. Thanks, but I'm not Dave.
  23. I used spiral blade for all except the lighthouse.
  24. You are right about the clouds on the right. It does look like a hill, and I kinda like it that way.
  25. I made this pattern from a photo I found online. No stain or finish yet. I'm don't really like the way the clouds look, so I might do some more cutting. Feedback please.
