    Cedar Box

Very nice Dan. Did you scroll it or turn it? Rob
  3. Oh well, glad she had fun and you can always make another! Rob
  4. Well to use an English expression, you certainly did NOT make a pigs ear of that. It's great. I bought that book and liked that pattern but have not got around to making it yet. Yours looks better than the illustration in the book! Do not under any circumstances let that get painted. Well done, Rob
  5. Great work. Hope you sell well and get lots of orders too. Rob
  6. Lucky you, I made four a year or so ago and still have them! Rob
  7. Meanwhile here in New Zealand, Carbatec sell it for $1399 which is $962 US !! But don't forget guys both of these are 240 volt. Rob

    Boy fishing

Thanks Paul. That is an entirely happy accident! Next time I cut it I will have to remember that and try and find some wood with suitable grain. Rob
  9. Those are awesome. Love the wood too and the finish is superb. Rob
  10. Cool. I love the metal ring for the hoop. Great idea. Rob
  11. All are great but the old man is extra special. Rob
  12. Great job for your second project! Well done, Rob
  13. Boy fishing from a pattern by Grampa. Reclaimed rimu finished with two coats of tung oil. I love this pattern and have cut it before. Thanks for looking, Rob
  14. Your inlay is always spot on Dave. One day I'll try it. Rob
  15. You made a lovely job of that. Your lettering is spot on and the dog looks great. Post an update once you have put a finish on and a backer. Rob
  16. Wow, that was a great result! So glad to hear you are pleased with your Hegner. Show us some work soon! Rob
  17. So far, all of my craft fairs have been indoors but they only run a few times a year so I decided to invest in a pop-up gazebo and a couple of tables. On Monday, I did my first outdoor event at a local park that was running a flower festival. There was a good turnout but it was hard to get people to part with their cash. I made about $200 which was a little less than I hoped for but not too bad. Special thanks go to Iggy for generously sharing his experience and display stand design. 18. Very nice. Love the pattern and the wood. Rob
  19. Don't mention TE! I'm suffering from it at the moment. Not fun. Hurts like hell and I don't even play tennis! Rob
  20. Very creative and a lovely piece. We get Monarch butterflies too here in NZ. They are very beautiful. Rob
  21. Love that! beautiful wood and a superb cut. Alex does some outstanding patterns. Maybe one day I will be good enough to try one. Rob
  22. Oh Dave, I am so jealous. I missed out on a second hand Hegner a while ago and now the DeWalt I picked up has died on me. So I am back to my faithful Delta Q3. Hegner is not sold in NZ so I would have to buy from Australia and pay $400 import duties on top of the saw which puts it out of my reach. I'm sure you have made a great choice and look forward to hearing how you get on with it once it arrives. All the best, Rob

    My Noel

    That really works. Great cutting!
  24. Sorry to hear that Iggy. Now you are stuck with some of those unusual breeds too. Still I know you pride yourself in having whatever people ask for. My last show was cancelled due to poor weather so my first test of the dogs will be next Monday, a bank holiday here.... Fingers crossed! Rob
  25. Nice mod Brian. With sunsets like that outside your workshop it's a wonder you get any cutting done! Rob
