  1. Mineral oil as the Americans call it is known as Paraffin Liquid over here. It took me ages to find that out. Everything I have ever read about it seems to indicate that it never dries fully so I don't use it except on spatulas or spurtles where a non-toxic food safe finish is needed. Rob
  2. Yes. The trouble is displaying it all when you only have a small table provided by the venue.
  3. Thanks. It's about 5/8ths or 15mms. Rob
  4. My next craft fair is on Sunday. I have way too much stock already but can't resist cutting more stuff. This Family Sign is cut from the side of an old kitchen drawer box. Not sure what the timber is. Cut with a FDUR#5 and finished with tung oil. Pattern is by Steve Good. Rob
  5. Awesome work! How about a short video of it in action? Rob
  6. Beautifully cut. I did that one a while back: Rob
  7. Thanks. If you do cut it, I suggest you beef up the "F" a bit like I did as the original is a bit flimsy.
  8. First off a Family sign cut from the side of an old bookcase. Pattern is by Steve Good. I sold one of these last time so I am hoping this will sell too. Next is a Sun plaque from a pattern by Bobscroll. And finally a Resting Stag from a pattern by Bigdogskitten11. Thanks for looking. Rob
  9. Thanks Scott. Have just placed an order. Rob

Tree mendous! I'll get my coat..... Rob
  11. That is certainly different. I love it! Rob
  12. Fingers crossed for you Iggy. Hoping your frustrations will be resolved. Rob
  13. I like them painted and unpainted too. Have you tried food colouring? Much quicker than paint in my opinion. I mix mine 50/50 with methylated spirits (denatured alcohol) and brush on with a small brush. Rob
  14. Thanks for taking the time to film that Iggy. It was interesting to see how someone else cuts. I don't have a hold down on my De Walt or My Delta Q3 and think I would find it annoying but I did notice you were able to use it to raise the arm whereas I have to reach further back. It's a matter of personal preference anyway so each to their own. Rob
  15. Love the pattern and the cutting is fabulous. Great all round. Rob
  16. Thanks Marg. Pretty well everything I cut comes from the recycling centre and luckily I usually find some rimu. I did find some oak once but usually it is just rimu, aka Rob Is Mostly Using.... Actually I remember I did find some mahogany too which I must get around to using at some point. Rob
  17. Think I got this pattern here but couldn't find it in the library so apologies for not giving the designer credit. This was cut from an old rimu drawer side and finished with tung oil and beeswax. 3mm matt black MDF backer. Thanks for looking. Rob
  18. Nice crisp cutting. Can I ask what the font is? Rob
  19. Very cute dragons. The Elk is outstanding though. Far beyond my skill or patience! Rob
  20. Beautiful cutting of a beautiful pattern. Very nice indeed. Rob

    Duck

    That's a quacker! Rob
  22. Nice work Bob. Glendalough is one of my favourite places. There is something magical about it. Rob
  23. I'm sure you meant years, not weeks for the Hegner maintenance! Rob
  24. Awesome letterwork from the master. They look great in white. Rob
  25. Well you haven't lost your touch Dick. Some mighty fine cutting there. I really like the potter one, that is certainly different. Rob
