  1. Good looking boxes. I can't spot the entry point on either. One day I will get around to trying one. Rob
  2. Great work Frank. Who would have thought the canoe pattern would make a good clock? but it really draws you in. Love the tiger too. Rob
  3. I really like that. Great patterning (is there such a word?) and beautifully cut too. Love the blue background as well. Rob
  4. Great work Brian. It all looks great. Rob
  5. Beautiful cutting board. Love the contrast. Rob
  6. Nice puzzles Ike. Sorry to hear you had a bad day. It's really tough standing there and not selling much. Been there done that Better luck next time. Rob
  7. I love my Q3 and wouldn't part with it - sorry! ereplacementparts.com do have some parts available though depending on what you need. Good luck, Rob
  8. Thanks Fish. I made the pattern in Inkscape. Rob
  9. Thanks Roly. You're up early! Rob
  10. Finally got around to trying to cut an old LP. I just stuck a pattern on and started to cut but probably should have used a sacrificial piece to lend it some rigidity. It cut very fast and was difficult to control. Still fun but a long way from Frank's work. Rob
  11. Pig ugly! but awesome none the less. Rob
  12. They say variety is the spice of life so you should be pretty well sorted. It's fun waiting to see what you come up with next. Top job. Rob
  13. Wow, that is perfect. Great cutting. Rob
  14. Reclaimed Rimu from an old drawer side finished with Rustolem semi-gloss spray. Pattern is by Bobscroll. Thanks Bob! Rob
  15. That is lovely. Is there no end to your talent? Rob
  16. Both are great but the box is outstanding. Beautiful workmanship. Rob

Well I can't see any mistakes and letters are very unforgiving. Well done and keep them coming! Rob
  18. Here is the trivet after a coat of tung oil and some beeswax. Rob

Very nice Ralph. I love the red eyes too. Rob
  20. Thanks Merlin. I wear a mask when scrolling and clean up with a shop vac once in a while. It's very kind of you to offer some Rimu but I have plenty thanks. Pretty well everything I cut uses reclaimed wood from the recycling centre. Rimu seems to be the most common although I have found some oak, mahogany and some matai floorboards on occasion. A friend also gave me a big piece of Massa (aka Pacific Jarrah) which used to be a fireplace mantel which turns well. How are your pens coming along? Rob
  21. Scrolling has taken a back seat of late while I have been turning pens. I had forgotten how much fun the lathe is but having picked up a second hand DW788 I thought I had better do something with it. This trivet is cut from the side of an old drawer box from a pattern found at craftsmanspace.com. No finish applied as yet. Rob
  22. Nice bench. I like the anti-wife measure on the door too! Rob
  23. Beautiful cutting Dick. I'd say you did well to do that in three hours. Rob
  24. I love your work Ron and that is a great looking box. A sharp well set up plane is a thing of beauty and deserves a box like that. Rob
  25. I don't know what I like more, the clock or your story about the attitude change you needed to accomplish it. I've shown it to my kids and explained that they too can achieve great things if they put their mind to it. Well done. It is an awesome piece of work! Rob
