I would sand one day and stain the next day after all the dust has settled on the floor, done it myself and it worked for me.

I requested this pattern at least 2 years ago, my neighbor's dog died and I got a picture from their daughter of the dog always laying on her security blanket. I finally got the nerve to cut it this year, will give it to them for Christmas. Now the shop is closed for the holidays. Wish every dust maker a wonderful Christmas to them and family and all the best for the New Year.

Have been making bowls & boxes for Christmas and I had a box full of pieces of scrap so I decided to put it to good use.

In Canada we have a company called general.ca, they will ship to the uk and since the part is not big it should be decent price. I just check their website and the do have a distributor in England

This is super cutting and lot's of patience, you should be very proud of the result.

I used mostly FD ultra reverse from #2 to 7, also have some penguin and polar

I use Tung oil, you can soak the trivet in or brush it on and I take the excess off with air blower. Let dry overnite, used sanding mop lightly, apply another coat, again let dry overnight and if not satisfy repeat one more time. Now another way if you want a shinier finish don,t buff after the first coat just reapply after it is dry, just buff after the 3rd coats, Hope this help

Will go with oak, walnut, cherry any hardwood will do, as far as finish 3 coats of Tung oil whit a little sanding mop 320 or higher in between. Size from 1/2' to 3/4" the smaller the easier for the cut. If you have SWWC magazine issue / 60 fall 2015 you can get free patterns from it, I did them all.

Looks good and they are real fun to cut, does not take long and a good way to get rid of scrap wood.

Thanks for nice comments, Some will be put in inventory but will use one of the yin-yan box to put a Pandora charm in it for my wife Christmas present.

I used everything in the scrap box, if I cannot cut bird houses or Christmas ornaments of the pieces in the scrap box, next place is the wood stove.
