Hi Denny
Welcome to the village I moved from SSW also too much hassle with the change to the site.
You will find lot's of nice people here very friendly and quite busy, please post some of your works because you are an artist with the scrollsaw.
Very nice work, must have lot's of patience because the sanding part takes a long time. I made one out of a 2"x4" and I know that the shaping and sanding is a lot of work but the end result is really worth it.
This is a master piece that you have.
I use an adjustable office chair, castors still on it, sonI can roll around. I have a very small shop in the basement and I made my own stand for my Excalibur.
I agree with the other it is what you prefer, I started with a stool but I found the office chair more comfy.
We are lucky here in Ontario, we have a place where you can get ink for most printer at a fraction of the cost.
I have an Epson printer at Staples the cartridges are approx. $20 to $25 dollars, I get the same cartridge for less than $5 at this place.
I agree with everybody the ink is more expensive than the printer. We are the throw away society.
Somebody send me this pattern and I cannot remember who it was, I asked Travis permission to post in order for the owner of this pattern to get the proper due to him. It was easy to cut and I really appreciate the effort that was put in making this pattern. Still have to apply finish to it.
Please will the owner of this pattern step forward!!!!!!!!
Here a couple of trivets and an Irish Sign.
Trivets pattern from Steve Good, Irish sign from Bob
No finish on them yet, might stain the Irish sign GREEN
I have some tiles but no jeweller's blade, I tried with FD polar # 7 did not work to good, I thought that metal blades might to the trick, if I order some more blades, will have to get a dozen or so of jeweller's blades.
I used all kind of finish, for trivet I use Tung oil, for my bowls inside is mineral oil and bees wax, outside is shellac.
I also use spray poly, lacquer and shellac onotherstuff that I cut.
