  1. I used only FD blades and the ultra reverse are my top blades, I agree with Don they are so smooth you don't need to sand after your cut.
  2. Welcome to the village Tisa great place to hang your sawdust!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. I have made over 25 bowls and you do not require this expansive tool, you can get the ball sander at Lee Valley Tools: http://www.leevalley.com/en/wood/page.aspx?p=56679&cat=1,42500,42504 I also use this sander http://www.leevalley.com/en/wood/page.aspx?p=49254&cat=1,42500 and I also have this one which I used to sand the bowls after initial cutting; http://www.leevalley.com/en/wood/page.aspx?p=45190&cat=1,290,42500,42504,45190 Also I order the small ball sanding tool from King Arthur tool : http://www.katools.com/shop/guinevere-small-round-sander-p-212.html With all these you can make nice bowls that nobody will think that you can do on a scroll saw.
  4. Best blades for me are Flying Dutchmen, I used mostly UR from # 2 to 7. Wooden teddy bear sells them now but you still can get them through Mikes Worshops
  5. I usually clean up after the day. also wear a mask all the time. I have a ShopVac air cleaner suspended above the saw and I also run a Craftex dust collector when I sand. I just want to show a busy saw with the picture. Thanks for the comments.
  6. Now here is a picture of a saw well used for cutting

  10. How did you make the pattern, did you just draw 2 circles? I tried and so far no good result.
  11. Nice job cutting it, they are fun to do. I cut many and after I cut one side I used packing tape to secure the pieces together and then cut the other side, very simple and very fast. I made lot's of birdhouses also that re 3 D cuttings.
  12. Very spooky am sure she will ove it, nice cutting.
  13. I used tung oil 2 to 3 coats with sanding mops in between coats
  14. That is on my "to do" list, I think it will be a high demand for these stands. Excellent cutting.
  15. You should be able to charge rent for that house, beautiful work.
  16. Thank you very much for all the nice comments, have been scrolling for at least 15 years but just new to this site. Really enjoy making sawdust during the winter months. Made lot's of Carole"s bowls and also lot's of Sheila Landry designs. After a month in Mesa will have to work hard to get all the stuff for Christmas, as you know everybody like your work if it is FREE LOL
  17. Will add up a few more for your pleasure. Having good time in Mesa, had a good round of golf today 95 degrees not use to this weather but I can take it. Another round on Wednesday and lot's of pool time.
  18. Since I just joined this site, lot's of people have ask to see some of my work. I'm in vacation in sunny Arizona right now but will display a few pics of items that I have made. The second picture of bowls have been made with plywood hard to believe. The display of bowls on the dinning room table are all my wife, she wanted 12 bowls to make like a clock, so I cut her a clock to go with it. LOL Hope you enjoy
