  1. I do like your drying rack. I will need to put together something like that. I wasn't sure if letting them dry still put together would cause them to stick together. That was my worry. Thanks Jim
  2. Question for you Iggy, when your dunking and letting the finish dry. Is the puzzle still put together or do you take them apart to do this? Thanks Jim

  6. So I just ordered a couple of dog patterns from the Wooden Teddy Bear site and I'm hoping I get the patterns in time to cut and get to my sons and their wives. Does anyone know how quickly their turn around is on mailing out patterns? Sure wish they gave the option to download patterns after purchasing them. Thanks Jim
  7. Good tutorial Iggy, I'm glad I came upon this. I'm looking at starting these of these after the holiday season. Jim

  16. I could have sworn I have seen a compound pattern of a ghost. But I am unable to find it. Has anyone seen a pattern like that? I want to say it is cut out on 1.5"x1.5". Thanks Jim
  17. Those look great Jim. No doubt they would be great sellers. I don't think the state of Colorado would do so great. We are just a square. Jim
  18. Thanks Lawson.
  19. Lookin' good Dick, I'm gonna' to have to look into those evil spiral blades and give them a try.
  20. Thank you everyone for the kind words. It seems I finally came up with a good idea that the racers like, so I'm pretty happy with it. Luckily this was the last race weekend of the season. So now I have time to get some inventory built up over the winter to start next season with. I'm looking at offering both the plywood version and then I want to do some on solid hard wood like oak versions. When I spoke to some of the racers about this they said they would be very interested in the solid wood versions also, even with them being a higher price. So I guess over the winter I need to figure out out to glue some solid wood together and see how they look. I'm also planning on taking some jigsaw puzzles to the first round made out of the race pictures from this season. I hope that works also. Thanks Jim
  21. So I took some things to the race track this past Friday to display and get feed back on, along with some items to sand down to stain this next weekend. At was a decent Friday. I sold all of the HighPlains Raceway tracks (pieces at the upper left side of the picture) and 4 PMP tracks. I also have pre-orders and was paid for all three tracks when I get the third one designed. I think I came home with about $200.00 for the woodworking. It was a pretty good day and folks also asked me if I will be offering anything else for next season. 22. I always though tax was on an item. Not on labor or rent.
  23. Thanks everyone, and here is a link to what I cut out today. I cut out about 5 or 6 of them. Now time to try and finish them somehow. http://www.scrollsawvillage.com/topic/20705-my-first-half-way-successful-attemp-at-a-form-of-wordart/ Thanks Jim
  24. Hello everyone, I'm almost caught up on my race pictures so I'm headed out to the old garage to make some sawdust. But before I started I wanted to ask a question. I will be cutting out a couple of race tracks out of 3/4" plywood (that I have laying around in my way). I will be putting a wood stain on it and now I'm thinking about burning the corner numbers in on it. Wood (ha ha ha) I burn first then stain or stain then burn? Thanks Jim
  25. Excellent puzzle Jerry, love the picture you picked out. Jim
