  1. Well, I might be going to Parker and looking at another Dewalt 788. He is suppose to be sending me some pictures of what the other side looks like so I can see if it is a type one or two. https://denver.craigslist.org/tls/6080327260.html Jim
  2. Sorry for the lack of sales Ike. But I'm glad you still had a good time out meeting people. Those are great puzzles. Jim
  3. Nice job Pete, I have been wanting to make a candle holder for the last couple of years. But something always gets in the way, right now it is dragons and racetracks . At least I'm keeping busy and staying off the streets. Jim
  4. Thanks everyone, yes my granddaughter loved it. Right after she opened it it had to sit right next to her while she opened up the rest of her presents. Thanks Jim
  5. And you all thought I was done with dragons ha ha. So I found this pattern and ended up cutting it out for my granddaughters second birthday today. It is cut out of 3/4" walnut. I will be giving her two of the large dragons and then this one as a dragon family. Then I can add on to it when new members of the family start arriving (which one will be here in June). And I will be cutting more of these for the shows coming up this summer. Thanks for looking. Jim
  6. Thank you everybody yes by the time I got the last one cut I was ready for that pattern to be finished. Kevin, I'm thinking $25.00 for the jigsaw puzzle ones and $20.00 for the non puzzle ones. Thank you Jim
  7. Hi Len, I have to admit Len I really have had my fill of that pattern for the time being. I haven't cut any dragons with the head up. I will be doing that this week or this weekend. I'm still tinkering with the design right now. Thanks Jim
  8. So I finally finished cutting out the dragons and jigsaw puzzle dragons. There are forty total. 20 puzzles and 20 non puzzles and half are cherry and half are poplar. And when that was all done I altered the pattern so the dragon is looking up. Guess what I'm cutting next weekend . Anyhow it was a good weekend. No problems with the saw or shop vac and the respirator is doing a fantastic job. So the only thing left is to figure out what type of finish to put on them. Here are a few pics of the dragons. Thanks for looking. Jim
  9. Thanks Ron, I found that book on Amazon and order a copy. Can't wait to get it and see what is in it. Thank you for the info. Jim
  10. Congrats on the bandsaw. I am trying to hold off on getting mine till I get the shed built out back. Jim
  11. Hey Ron, do you happen to know where I can find that pattern? Thanks Jim
  12. Thanks I like the last one. The Bessie The Cow just looks really uncomfortable to be sitting on. Or maybe it is just me. Jim
  13. Thanks Steve, the more and more I think about it. I want to do a Holstein Cow Rocker for her. Just am trying to find a pattern now.
  14. So next month is my granddaughters second birthday and am thinking of making her a rocking horse or a rocking cow (to sit on and rock). Anyone have any suggestions? Also I need one that I can make on my scroll saw because I still don't have a band saw. Thanks Jim
  15. I'm glad it was your computer that got zapped and not you. Welcome back. Jim
  16. Great looking pattern RJR, and wow the torch adds a nice touch to them. Jim
  17. Can't open them on mine either. Jim
  18. Looks like a grumpy little kittie kat. Jim
  19. I will be looking at making me one or two of these for myself. One will have my chop saw and planer then the other one will have my two sanders. JIm
  20. Wow, I can't even tell where you laminated the two boards together. Great job. Jim
  21. Thanks everyone and sorry for the late response. I sure am hoping they are going to be great sellers, if not everyone in the family will be getting dragons under the Christmas Tree . Yes I am always wearing the new respirator when I go into the garage to work. I am keeping it and the extra filters in the house just to make sure no sawdust gets on it. Sam, I posted another thread called Dragons II that has one of the dragon puzzles in it. I will be cutting the other one out tonight. Thank you Jim
  22. Ha ha, welcome to the dark side. Love the blue eyes. Jim
  23. Here is one of the dragons cut into a puzzle. Someone asked me to do this. This is one out of poplar. I'm hoping to do one in Cherry tonight when I get home. Thanks for looking. Jim
  24. I ended up working on some dragons today. I am cutting them out of poplar and cherry. If I don't mess any of them up. I will end up with 21 dragons. Some will be left whole and then some will be cut into puzzles. The front piece is cherry and the back piece is poplar The stack closest to you is poplar and then the other stack is cherry Close up of dragons Sis thought this was cute having the dragons looking down at the carriage...somethings just not right with that girl. Thanks for looking. Jim
  25. Nice set up Iggy, I really like the use of the ladder. Jim
