    The herd

Wow, those great fantastic RJ. Great job.
  2. I hope this is the solution to your problems (scroll saw related at least). Keep up posted.
  3. I wish we had something like that around Colorado.

    Dragon

Great cutting. Will you be putting a background on it?
  5. I love the smell of walnut.
  6. Just a little follow up to the sanding mop situation. I ended up getting the mac mop and it did a great job on the outside of the pieces, but what do you use for the inside of the pieces? Is there a smaller sanding mop that works for this or is it done by hand? Thanks Jim
  7. Glad to you hear received the new saw and it is working better than the first one. Can't wait to read your reviews when you get them posted.
  8. Thanks Iggy, the only reason why I filled up that whole area with the letters was to make sure the letters were supported well. I might not be thinking about this correctly.
  9. ALRIGHT!!!!!! You must be living right, cause you get to have two Christmas' in July.
  10. Hello everyone, I'm cutting out more race tracks and I'm trying to find a font that would be close to what I'm doing now (which is drawing them in by hand) or if there is a better font you would recommend. I am wanting to make a template out of these so I'm not having to draw them up all the time. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you Jim
  11. Have you received the new saw yet Iggy?
  12. I figured you knew right where I was going with this.
  13. Looks good, do they make larger ones Denny?
  14. Might be time to invest in a enclosed trailer.
  15. I try and use 3/4" also.
  16. With all the heat we have been having, I'm finding it hard to work in the garage. The outside temp is in the mid to upper 90's and in the garage it is right about 85 degrees this was yesterday evening about 6-7 p.m. I was able to cut 1 race track out last night before I had to go back into the house with A/C. I do have a fan blowing on my back while I'm scrolling. Does anyone else have this issue and if you do how to you handle this to be productive but not the hurt your health? I was kind of thinking about looking at putting a portable air conditioner in the garage but I don't know how well it would hold up with the sawdust that I'm making. Does anyone have any suggestions? The garage is a 2 car garage and is insulated, dry walled and taped. I will be looking at insulating the garage door (which faces north) this fall after I get a heavy duty garage door opener installed. Thanks Jim
  17. Merry Christmas Iggy, I hope you like it.
  18. Yes, please post a review of the new saw. I have like 2 of them within a 2 hour drive from me and both of the are $400.00 or less including the stand.
  19. Congrats Iggy. Don't wear this one out so fast.
  20. With it being that thin, do you stack them?
  21. What type of wood would you use to make these? They look like very thin sheets of something.
  22. These look so tempting to try. Is there a beginners pattern that might get me started and not so frustrated?
  23. So the sanding mop I have to buy the mandrel and the sanding paper pieces and put together where are the Mac Mops come assembled already? If I go with the mac mops which size do you all suggest? As far as grits go, I was thinking like a 120 and a 220 should work for me. What do you all think? Am I missing something here? Thanks Jim
  24. So I'm looking at getting a sanding mop to clean up the fuzzies that I have on my finished dragons. Is there a kit that has all the pieces in it that I will be needing to use the sanding mop? I have a drill press that I will be attaching this to. Thanks Jim
  25. Great looking pieces. Scott's plan is working.
