  1. Hello everyone, has anyone of you use the zero clearance that came with my Hegner?
  2. Thanks Katie, Paul and Kevin, he even threw in a couple boxes of hardwood scraps of Walnut, Cherry, Maple and Oak. Can't wait to get into the shop and start learning how to use it. You've seen what came with it, does anyone have suggestions on what I might want to consider getting? I will need to figure a way of mounting a lamp to it, but not a Hegner lamp. That's a little out of my budget at the time. Thanks Jim
  3. And here is the link. Hegner at it's new home.
  4. Well there is one less Hegner Scroll Saw for sale as of today. Man this is so quiet. I shot a video of is and am uploading it now. I will post is as soon as it is done.
  5. Well dad gum it Paul, you just keep yourself in Washington. Luckily he is holding it for me till Sunday. It's just that Sunday sure is taking it's time getting here.
  6. Well I just finished emailing Wolfgang Derke and sent him a few pictures of it and he said jump on it. That's a heck of a deal and it looks like it has had very little use.
  7. And a foolish question. But Flying Dutchman blades will work on this saw correct?
  8. Thank you Tony, I normally cut 3/4" hardwood for animal puzzles. I will be so happy if it runs as nice as it looks.
  9. Thanks everyone, I will be meeting him on Sunday to look at it.
  10. I just got a little more info on it. The plate says it's a Multimax-18 Universal Precision Saw, Mach. No. 415947, Year is 1999. Does anyone happen to know what the life expectancy is of these saws if they are taken care of well? I'm going to be seeing him on Sunday.
  11. Thank you Al, I received an email from the person selling it. And he says. "I bought the saw at an auction so I can't tell you its history but I can say it is in excellent condition. There are no issues with it."
  12. Hello, I was checking to see if you all thought this was a good deal or not? It is about 45 minutes from where I live. Will these Hegner's outlive me? Hegner Thanks Jim
  13. Iggy, can it make tighter corners then your DeWalt or is it about the same?
  14. Good job I think Kevin, and I'm glad you and Iggy did your video's at normal speed. I hate it when people speed up what they are cutting to where you can't see what their normal speed is. If that makes sense.
  15. Glad you are feeling better Edward. Don't over do it.
  16. Nice cutting Kevin, wow 1900 I wonder what he is going to do with them also?
  17. Hello everyone, well I finished up with all of my cutting for the year and now I have a question. I have noticed that on my Dewalt 788, there is some side to side play in the upper and lower arm. I am wondering if this is normal? I have never checked that before, so maybe there is supposed to be some play in them. I haven't taken the time to measure the amount of movement yet. Thanks Jim
  18. I was able to go there just now. But it did take a few seconds of looking at a blank white screen. But the page did load.
  19. These came out looking fantastic Jim. Great job.
  20. Congrats Scott, you've earned all the recognition that you're getting plus some.
  21. Sorry Minnie was not spelled correctly. Spell check failed me again.
  22. 9" tall x 7" wide give or take just a dab.
  23. Thanks Dave, I had planned on making one piece from the eyes down (using the eyes as the locking pieces), then one of the right ear and bow and one of the left ear and bow but it just didn't look good to me. So I thought someone else might have a better idea. I know the image that shows up here is very light on my monitor. But when I downloaded it, it was darker and easier to see. Thanks Jim
  24. I have a friend who is looking for me to do a jigsaw puzzle of minnie mouse for his 16 month old daughter. I have this much done but can not figure out a way to put in the pieces keeping some of the features of her face, ears and bow. Do anyone have suggestions? Thank you Jim
  25. I use a Mac Mop for smoothing all my puzzle pieces. People at the craft sales are very impressed with that there are no sharp edges.
