I'm going to start cutting our my first freehand picture jigsaw puzzle. There won't be anything on top of the picture and I know that the blade needs to cut on the down stroke so I don't tear the picture. Does someone have a picture of what the blade should look like for this. This picture is 11x17 and it is on 1/4" BB plywood and I will be using the FD Superior Puzzle Blade. Thank you all in advance. Here is a copy of the picture I will be cutting out.

A person here at work who had to have a Elm tree cut down and she was asking me if I could use the logs. I don't have any idea what size the logs are or if they are straight or not. Has any one use elm wood?
Thanks
Jim
That's what I have been doing Iggy, I cut the outlines first then I do the internal cuts and then the puzzle pieces. Seems to work for me for the moment.
I have found that using the rubber mats from Harbor Freight has helped my back a lot. I have also raised my scroll saw with blocks so I can stand and cut. That has also helped me. If my back does start to hurt, I take a couple Aleve to help.
