  5. My oldest Grandaughter loves Harry Potter and Owls, so when I found this pattern it was perfect to cut for her. I cut it fron 4mm Birch Ply, It's not yet sanded or finished, but all comments are welcomed.

    great pattern Jessie
  17. Roly, The blue cover I normally use is in the cuboard and it's too awkward to get out with my knee playing up. The reason I use it for all my pics is it was mum's favourite cover and as she loved to see all the bits I made so I use the cover as a memory of her. Richard, you are right, she is a really sweet lady, just a shame she is so ill.
  18. Well after quite a wait I finally cut it, there were three excellent patterns to choose from, 1 by Mahendra, 1 by Old Crow (DonR) and one by EIEIO, I couldn't decide which pattern so I emailed a copy of each to my girlfriend and she picked the one by EIEIO. But Thanks still go to Don and Mahendra for their patterns, I will be cutting both of those for myself. And of course a thank you to Ray for his pattern too. Here is the finished portrait, as usual all comments welcomed.
  19. That's Awesome, very nice work Mike
  20. beautiful work, very nicely done. (I'm now on my 4th attempt to make a "pumpkin" intarsia, it's the sanding thats letting me down, I only have a small drum sander bit mounted in a cheap drill press and it'd not easy with that as it doesn't run true. I need to get a decent drum sander or even a disc sander. Keefie,
  21. Nice cutting Frank, my personal opinion is that I would have the tail feathers in the centre then taper the side sections down to meet the tail feathers so there was no big step between them. Keefie
