  1. If you have a Habitat For Humanity Resale Store you might check with them.
  2. Very nice Denny. Do you mind explaining how those are made?
  3. Gary, At least it is a better habit than some I have had in the past. I will not do outside shows any more. I did 3 seasons of a farmers market in IL. I am totally done fighting the elements.
  4. Marg, Thanks for the compliment. That plaque is of the Avenger characters designed by Sasho.
  5. Gary, I did a three day art and jazz festival in the spring that is huge. Since then I have been making inventory. Hard to know what to make and how many. By the time I am done the fourth show my inventory will probably be slim which is a good thing.
  6. Les. I have been working on inventory for the holiday shows since April. I spend 6-8 hours a day in the shop.
  7. https://photos.google.com/share/AF1QipOAVZnXeCN969OxjN5ESGFDu_xhkMhm9yqLzjUqSdr-rrNXxZvTg4y7daa9L4Lm0Q?key=OXVNZ2ROV3VIVlIwV3Izai1DVmFzQ3ZSTThPeTBB Sorry for the video quality. I don't know what the heck I am doing. I think once you open it if you click on the picture it will run. First show was awesome. Hope I don't run out of stuff before the final one.
  8. If I were making a sign like that I would charge $25-$35 depending on the size, amount of letters, type of material, stained or natural. I always show my customer artwork before I start a project. That can take a lot of time. I like to make enough to pay for my material, buy some new tools, and maybe a bit of mad money. Good luck.......pricing is hard.
  9. I looked at a Seyco at a scroll saw show in Iowa a few years ago. Didn't have a chance to try it out. At the time I was ready to buy a new saw. I had gone through two DeWalt's in less than two years. I scroll about six hours a day and the bearing went out. After doing a lot talking to people at companys and guys here at the Village I decided on a Hegner. A work horse of a saw. I'm sure it will outlive me. I missed being able to top feed with it especially on large project. I started doing a lot of inlay work and thought it would be nice to have two saws...one set up at an angle and the other left at 90. When the Pegas came out I decided to bite the bullet and buy one. I really like the saw. The table is plenty big for me. I really like the rack and pinion tilting mechanism. It is really nice when you are trying to set a precise angle and then when you want to set it back to 90 there is a index pin that you push in that get you back perfect. My only concern about the saw is the durability. Already I notice a bit of looseness in the top and bottom blade clamp area compared to when it was new. I wouldn't give up either of my saws.
  10. I got a Pegas last March and really like it. Still have my Hegner.
  11. I have a Pegas and really like it. I like the index pin on the tilting mechanism. Time will tell on parts availability.
  12. The PMG blades are hard to beat. My go to blade is #5 except for inlays I use #3 so I can make a smaller entry hole.
  13. Thanks to all of you for the kind comments. I posted it on my FB page last night and was overwhelmed with the amount of attention it drew which made me feel good. One lady asked what i would take for it. I sent her a private message and told her $125. Of coarse I never heard back from her. I think I have about 10 hours in making it. I decided if I can't make a little bit on it for my time I will give it to someone I care about.
  14. Gosh Dick......You are sure good lookin.
  15. Steve designed this rose pattern as a segmented plaque. I made it into a box. I used red oak, poplar, cedar and walnut.
  16. It comes with the stand for $649. I bought one the first of the year through Amazon and I returned it because it was totally mess up. Maybe it happened in shipping.
  17. Hope this helps. Monster Truck.pdf
  18. Totally understand your pain. We lost our grandson. Think of you often.
  19. I hung it up and seemed like it would be fine.
  20. A customer gave me a picture of what she had in mind. They are going to use this as part of their wedding ceremony. I put a hanger on the back so they can use it as a wall hanging. I really like the concept.
  21. Came out great Marg. I love the way you framed it.
  22. You are way to flattering. I would guess I have about eight hours making this box. It's hard to keep track of my time because I usually have a few projects going at once.
  23. I would like to thank Grandpa for the pattern of the rose. I did change it up so I could use it for an inlay. I used maple, cedar, yellow heart, walnut and poplar.
