  1. I always thought that when people were talking about hockey sticks that the blades were bent like this.
  2. Brian, Why did you go from the variable speed lathe to the Rikon?
  3. Do you think it has enough power to use a sanding mop on it?
  4. I would give them a call. Great customer support.
  5. I am thinking of purchasing one of these. Does anyone have one of these motors. What do you think? Wondering if it is an issue that it is not variable speed. Currently I am using my drill press for my sanding mops which I realize the bearing aren't made for that.
  6. I spray (not rattle can) three coats of pre catalyzed lacquer. First coat really gets sucked up. Soft maple is about the same. Works good for me.
  7. Ron, It was at a High School with over two hundred vendors. I can't begin to guess how many attended. All I can say is there were thousands. It is free to the public so they don't keep track.
  8. This is only my second holiday season here in Texas so I don't have a good feel yet. Three years prior I did the Farmers Market in Bloomington, IL. Sports items were a big thing there. Not so much for me here. Inlayed boxes and puzzles have sold in both places well. I will say that when I started renting two spaces and widened my selection my sales almost doubled. The cost for two 6 x 10 booths at this show is $300 for Saturday and Sunday. A lot of money to spend up front but it was well worth it.
  9. My biggest seller for the season was a medicine box. Nothing else really stood out. I did four holiday shows and each show it seemed like something different was the best seller.
  10. Beautiful baskets for sure.
  11. Julie (wife) and I are popped out. Two day event. First time doing this show. Biggest ever.
  12. It's sold out already. I've been paying $5.80 per roll at Walmart.
  13. Bill, I bought some on your suggestion. I decided I would try the natural. Used a round over bit this morning on a cherry project and the end grain tore out just a bit. I mixed a drop of cherry stain in with it and it worked great. Thanks for your suggestion.
  14. I used that piece to line up my pieces when I glued them in. I cut it apart and did a section at a time so I could get it out.
  15. Not at all. It wasn't a scroll saw pattern.
  16. Customer requested a Boba Fett picture. I had to Google to find out who it was. Found a pattern that would work on Etsey. I don't know if you can tell by my picture but it is nothing but islands.......a real pain in the butt to glue and mount.
  17. Glad to see your work again Alexey. You are amazing!
  18. One suggestion.....put the mounting holes under the two outside hooks.
  19. Nice job Jim. That was a hard one with the thin pieces.
  20. Nice job on that Dick. How can you not love horses? A lot of times I have a hard time finding the pattern I am looking for because I have so many on my computer.
  21. Awesome boxes Ron. Are you using velvet in the bottoms?
  22. Love the display. Doing shows are definitely draining. I would love to know where you got the nativity scene puzzle?
  23. I bought a Pegas in March and really like it. I'm sure that Denny is a good source.
  24. I've used olive oil also. This one is 1/4" walnut.
  25. That is some beautiful clock you are working on. You don't mind paying for quality.
