  1. OK I'll confuse the issue even more, I would use pegas Modified geometry #3 1/8 or 1/4 makes no difference in cutting IMO, stack cut two or three, they are all usable in my experience
  2. Thanks for the detailed explanation. I tried some hinges like that, maybe your source has better ones, but what I had trouble with is the screw head did not fit flush into the hinge. The relief in the hinge was not deep enough it seems to allow the head to flush fit down. The one's you buy do not seem to have that issue do they?
  3. Beautiful work. What do you use to inset the hinges? router then a chisel, or just chisel, or ...
  4. Thanks ot never hearing about timbermate I went googling found this comparison https://woodworkingtoolkit.com/best-wood-fillers/ Elmers is stainable, how about that and famowood latex
  5. experienced woodworkers - ahh no, but I will chime in anyway I put a dollop of glue on a piece of paper, then cover that with saw dust, start mixing. Put enough saw dust in there until you get a thick paste. If I can see the glint of glue, it reflects light somewhat, keep mixing. I don't know any other way to explain it. After you do it a time or two you get to know when you have the paste correct. I have also tried Famowood, that was recommended by someone here ( the name escapes me, I have CRS it seems - Can't remember sh..), it works very well but finding a match to the wood (other than walnut) Is hard IMO.
  6. Might be slippage in the clamp, if it is, then that must rough up the blade cause when you re-tighten it that seems to fix the "slippage" I sand the blade before using it, seems that would do it, but sometimes I get the slippage/stretch No matter what you call it, when you release the tension and the blade bows, that is a problem and that is why I run the saw for 30 seconds or so and then release the tension to check
  7. Nice idea, I just "borrowed" a lazy susan we never used, couple of years later she looked for it, then she found a nice one at a yard sale for $4, win win
  8. Very nice, I would leave it like it is, some spray lacquer and be done with it
  9. Very nice, she has a talent
  10. Using a larger bit normally that would mean changing bits, I am lazy. so ......... I have a wen dremel with the #61 and another with a 1/16th bit and the drill press has the 1/8th bit Drill press hardly gets used, and the only real time I use a #5 or larger blade is for outside pattern cutting, of course I rarely cut anything over 3/4 inch, even stack cutting doesn't get higher.
  11. Glad to help
  12. Thanks, Gracias, I looked up alcohol paint to learn more about it.
  13. I use a #61 drill with the pegas MG #3 and have no problems bottom feeding it. When I did try the top feeding I always felt like I was fighting the teeth in addition to trying to find the hole in the table
  14. Ok now I am confused, Rocky started this thread, Wish he would chime in and let us see the pdf he is talking about or the names of the fonts he wants. that thread you referenced refers to how to get those three fonts, but I am wondering if it is some others
  15. I like this better, I'm actually considering it https://evansmarket.com/products/dressing-room-tent?variant=30986311368758&utm_medium=cpc&utm_source=google&utm_campaign=Google Shopping
  16. Would you post the pdf you are talking about, that would help I think
  17. great work on all of them, I especially like the first one
  18. I've tried both I find bottom feeding to be the easiest. For me, when the blade is in the top clamp and you start bringing down the arm to top feed, the blade end is actually moving in an arc, I found that to be harder to get the blade down through the piece and into the hole in the table. I bottom feed all the time. That said, I top feed when putting a new blade, clamp it to the upper arm, lower the arm and tighten the bottom clamp.
  19. Yep very nice, a tutorial is needed for me too, dying alcohol?
  20. Box looks good to me too, along the same school of thought with scrappile
  21. If you are going to have a booth that you can not walk around in, you also need a turntable type thing so the work to be sprayed can be turned easily.
  22. Congrats, I would love to have sitting next to my ex-21, but I just can't talk myself into it
  23. As Tom said, google the font name, then download it Most font downloads come in a zip file type, you need to (in windows explorer) right click on the file and choose extract all, then double click on the font file after extraction. While Win Explorer will show you the contents of the zip file, the contents can not be used until extracted. In the browser, the download arrow can be clicked, and the most recent downloads seen, right click on one and select open containing folder to open win explorer automatically Fonts are installed in the system, word and other programs read the font list when you open them.
  24. Jerry, I have to laugh at the expression peace time. The cold war was indeed a war, the public has no idea how close we were, nor how many times we were close to an all out war, and the other side blinked. Thanks for writing that check payable to the United States, for the amount of, "my life if needed" and thank god it was not cashed Army 1969-1989
  25. Respects to all my fellow vets It is the soldier, not the reporter, Who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, Who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, Who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, Who salutes the flag, Who serves beneath the flag, And whose coffin is draped by the flag, Who allows the protester to burn the flag. by: Father Denis Edward O'Brien, USMC
