  1. Also the Pegas blade did not wander at all!! It just followed the line wherever I pointed it, and was easy to make the few sharp turns also. I found that to be true too, the pegas #3 is my goto blade When I make ornaments and puzzles, I dip the item in Watco oil finish, let it dry on a paper towel and wipe off the excess.
  2. Good review looking forward to more
  3. THAT! is beautiful, what a great presentation and the cutting is great too, kudo's
  4. Have to agree, that is very nice cutting
  5. burning the "frame" lends a nice touch, nice cutting
  6. I seem to have missed that, thanks
  7. @kmmcrafts I agree, a tractor seat pan is very comfortable, and a dense foam pad used with a sleeping bag is designed to isolate the body - interesting chair, the reviews make you wonder though, two out of three fell off! Wish the specs provided the minimum and maximum height for the seat - that to me would be important. edit = this one gets better ratings https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001BX1JSC/ref=sspa_dk_detail_0?psc=1&pd_rd_i=B001BX1JSC&pd_rd_w=pqzM5&pf_rd_p=45a72588-80f7-4414-9851-786f6c16d42b&pd_rd_wg=a0KxD&pf_rd_r=B02DMVVCDQ33K8RTBNAV&pd_rd_r=7b7d945b-ef61-4c01-bd7e-49f0c58b17dd&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUFOTjNLVkk4NVYxQyZlbmNyeXB0ZWRJZD1BMDQxODAxMTJZN1Q2TVhPTEVJVTgmZW5jcnlwdGVkQWRJZD1BMDMwNDg4MThRUU8wRlNBUENYMiZ3aWRnZXROYW1lPXNwX2RldGFpbCZhY3Rpb249Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU=
  8. Seems to me that if you like the stool you presently use, it would make more sense to just raise the ex. Angle iron, couple of holes and hardware, and either add to or replace the lower legs.
  9. That happened to me a year or so ago, two issues in a row and nothing, not even the ads changed - I let the subscription lapse and have not seen one since.
  10. Really nice write up, congrats
  11. so much is now metric in lumber this chart should help some https://mdmetric.com/tech/cvtchtfdm.htm
  12. Damn nice cutting Don, shame when that happens Have you considered cutting it off at the crack and then cutting it again on the opposite side so it kind of is a half circle - that might look nice too
  13. Stunning work. What blade did you use to cut it, and did you sandwich it between anything to make the cutting?
  14. very nice and creative
  15. Dave you still having issues with the flocking process? Per this web site, the difference is only about where the flocked item will be used http://www.flockit.com/index.php/products/suede-tex/suede-tex-flock-fibers.html Suede-Tex Spray-On Flocking Fibers are available in two (2) types: RAYON - durable for indoor use NYLON - durable for indoor and outdoor use Application of the flocking fibers is identical for both Nylon and Rayon, using the same Suede-Tex undercoat adhesive and application equipment.
  16. Beautiful work
  17. Very very nice, I understand his feeling
  18. Welcome to the family, you started with an outstanding scroll saw, folks here are real helpful so don't hesitate to ask anything
  19. Interesting idea, what size are they in diameter out of curiosity?
  20. Can't wait for your review.
  21. Great cutting. Hang on to them, in years to come you can look back on your first cut remembering. I'll echo lawsons question, what machine are you using?
  22. awesome creativity and work, very nice I know the kid will love it
  23. Yes you have the right idea, but the angle I use for 3/8th (10mm) is 1.8 degrees and it is leaving the insert a little high
  24. No it is inlay, put the piece with the elephant pattern on top of the box lid, secure it. then you cut the pattern at an angle, bevel cut, when you separate the two pieces, the top piece you cut drops into the box lid (after you separate the main pieces). The angel you cut at determines how far down into the box lid the cut drops. I fiddled, and am still fiddling with the angle so that the drop in piece sits only a 64th proud so I can sand it smooth. The angle depends on the thickness of the two pieces of wood too and the blade you use. Basically you experiment with the wood and angle on scrap, and hope it works the same on the real thing.
