  5. Umm, the patience you have . I see you have been finding lots to pass the day away on your saw. Beautiful piece all around.

Nice work and customer will be happy. Great to reward those repeat clients,
  8. Beautiful job.
  9. Nice work Frank. I think I tried spirals once. Was not good. I think it was early when I was just starting to scroll. I think I had problems controlling them. I have also heard they can break a lot. On the list to try again someday. I do use a foot switch. I started out with one so like most things, I think if you learn with one early, it’s easier then of you scrolled for a while, got used to that and then tried. I have found that is true with many things we learn to do in life. I have an older Excalibur who’s really old foot switch went out the other day. I tried to saw without it. Couldn’t do it. Fortunately I have two saws so swiped the foot pedal off the other one. I know there is an extra one hidden somewhere in the shop, as I had bought one for hubby to use on something but he never did. Just need to find it. Apparently he isn’t sure where it is either.
  10. While I am not necessarily a car person, I always enjoy seeing your cuttings you make and the stories behind them that you share. This one is beautiful as well,
  11. What a thoughtful and beautiful gift that they will love. Maybe might even earn you another visit to see it in its new home.
  12. You’ve been busy Kevin. I like the earring holders.
  13. Another Tennessee welcome.
  14. Nice work Brenda. The benefit of stack cutting is you get much more for your time and effort. In this case, two for the price of one.
  15. Glad you were able to have your surgery, now as Brenda noted, to get the most from it, make sure you do the physical therapy work to get fully recovered. If not, why bother with doing the surgery.
  16. Hi Leonard and welcome to the village from East Tennessee. I had the pleasure of getting to visit your country several years ago now. It was beautiful and the areas we visited reminded me a lot of here at home.
  17. Making a lot of people happy Kevin, one name at a time. Nice work.
  18. Great work.
  19. Beautiful piece all around. Lovely work by your wife. Great frame by you. A good team!
  20. Congratulations on your saw and excellent work on some small parts. I am sure your friends love them.
  21. I agree with Dan on the dust. I would also think it would be an issue perhaps with card stock plus I would be fearful what moisture of any kind would do to the card stock. If I wanted a real pop of color like that purple, I would probably do what Sue suggested on her pattern. Another choice would be to use the alcohol inks or unicorn spit stain which will give you vibrant coloring but more of a stain then paint if it was the paint you didn’t like the idea of. Your other option, but more subtle on color, would be to use a wood that gives you the color contrast. I recently did a Steve Good pattern of a curved top box. I forgot what image he had on the box top, but I used a butterfly instead and then used a piece of Purple Heart to line the lid to fill in the butterfly with color and to be the lining for the lid.
  22. Nice work and will be treasured. We also got a new great niece and nephew, one on my side and one on hubby’s side. She is now 6 months old, he is 4 months old so yes, both were born at the start of the pandemic. Need to come up with their 1st Christmas ornaments myself, hopefully they will look half as good.
  23. I had no idea either @trackman but here is where he asked for the pattern and says a character from the Star Wars spin off Mandalorian on Disney+ streaming. Nice work on it and I am sure Russell, @Birchbark will be happy to see your completed piece.
  24. Beautiful piece. Wish I had the patience but at my age, I know I don’t.
  25. Beautiful piece Brenda. Now it’s time to try stack cutting.
