    Thanks for the replies. I guess I was wondering if any Hawk owners had a saw that was vibration free at full speed. Ray mentioned on another thread, "will it vibrate at full speed." That is what precipitated the question. My saw is great up to 3/4 range. I will never get it better as the saw is on wheels by necessity. I pull it back and forth to facilitate getting to the gates on my DC. I never need to cut at much over 2/3 on the speed control so everything is going fine. My question is only one of curiosity. I still wonder id the Hegner will pass the nickle test at full speed.

    When I am buying Poplar I rarely find interesting grain or pattern When I do I grab it.I really like it.

    My 220VS Ultra Hawk runs very smoothly until I get past the 3/4 mark on the speed control. After that there is quite a bit of vibration. It is not a problem as I cut just shy of the vibration. I'm wondering if others find their Hawks doing the same or should I be looking for a problem?

    I ordered a bunch of Pegas blades from Bear Woods yesterday. Hopefully there will be no problems. I will be checking carefully.

    The Wooden Teddy Bear is quick shipping. I've not had to wait more than a week from Bear Woods.

    We had snow last week but is long since gone. The mountains had a lot of snow over Thanksgiving and all the ski resorts are open. I don't ski. Heating the house is expensive and I'm going to stay inside and enjoy it. However, today it is 60 degrees. So I'm about to go out to my shop.

    I stack cut 2 1/8" BB. #1 Penguin Silver Reverse, Finish 50/50 BLO. Frame from Wally World. I have no easy way to make a frame. Pattern by Grampa/Paul.

    Well, I changed my mind. I ordered Olson and FD from The Wooden Teddy Bear. I mixed and matched and got gross pricing. I ordered the Pegas from Bear Woods. I looked at D&D but from what I could determine they only sell by the gross and not dozen. But then I perhaps do not know how to read their web page. Leslie's appeared to be the same. So I just ordered from my regular vendors. A little extra shipping but that is OK>

    I now recall sending them my very first order of blades when starting out. I recognize the name Leslie. My order did not arrive so I called them. The phone would ring and the answer said, "If you know your party's extension enter it now." I knew of no extension. I called again two or three times over the next couple of days with the same results. I finally emailed them and got an answer. They said their phone system was down. I finally got my order but was shy a couple of things. Yes, I had forgotten about them. I understand about mom and pop businesses. The pen making supply business is full of them. I think, just to give them another chance I will bite the bullet from them. Wish me luck.
