  1. That is cool!
  2. Best to make your request under "Pattern Requests." You should get some replies.
  3. Many thanks Kirk. My wife really likes it.
  4. I think it will look great Brad. I sounds like a terrific project!
  5. I just bought mine today and only took it out of the box. I did get 220 grit disks. There was a very small "Drill Doctor" detail sander for $13.99 regular price. It used pointed pads. My sanding needs are so limited I thought about getting it. I lookked at the sanding pads and they only come in 60, 80 and 100 grit. Way too course for what I need. I was a cute little thing. 12,00 opm.
  6. HF has them but still expensive.
  7. Welcome Pete. Glad to have you here.
  8. Brad, you can do it! I have lots of confidence in you.
  9. Wow! My wife would love that. Where did you find the pattern?
  10. That's downright cute. Nice work.

Excellent cutting! Everything looks so smooth and precise.
  12. I recently purchased Olson spiral #4 blades. They are still on my desk. Have not yet worked up the courage to use them.
  13. Easy peasy, nice and easy! Good thinking. Almost wish I had a 788 so I could make and use it. Very good.
  14. My wife, unfortunately, likes her car in the garage also. That's why my shop is so small. Recently I wanted to buy her a pristine 2002 yellow Mustang convertible. She said, "But my car will have to be out in the weather." Shot that deal down.
  15. I have a one day coupon for Sunday only. Regular $33.99. On sale at $19.99. Cheap enough. I also have a 20% off coupon but I don't think I can use it on a sale item. I can get some shop towels or something with the purchase. I already have a dozen tape measures.
  16. The sander will get very light use so I'm sure it will suffice. I used to buy on craig's list and also sold. These days it easier to drive 10 minutes to HF.
  17. I had a very nice 5" Dewalt orbital sander but no more. I have no idea where it has gone. However, I suspect that since my garage door is often open while I am in my shop I think someone helped themselves to it. Although I am in the garage my small shop is partitioned off so I can't be seen nor can I see out to the rest of the garage. The sander is always on a workbench at the back of my shop facing the sidewalk. Every tool has it"s place and every place has it's tool. It is yellow, easy to see from the sidewalk and is the only tool there small enough to be carried off. So, tomorrow I will visit HF for their 5" sander for $19.99. I'd like to replace the Dewalt but it was $89 at Woodcraft. The HF will have to do.
  18. Yesterday was in the mid 50's. I went to Woodcraft for some DC fittings as well as a large sheet of 1/8" BB. I want to stack cut a portrait. Today was supposed to be bad so I needed to get the BB while it was decent enough outside so could roll my saw out to the driveway and make the necessary cuts. Good thing I did. Today it was in the low 30's and now is 24 degrees. My small shop can get up to the mid 60's with a small heater.
  19. Ray, I don't think I will live long enough to finish the beginner one. I love reading about mechanical things. I cut mostly simple things just for keeping me occupied. I still repair antique clocks to keep me occupied. I do things like word art, portraits, etc. Nothing that needs a lot of precision.
  20. Love it but would never be capable of cutting it.
  21. Very nice work. Christmas keeps you busy.
  22. Drop cords are the only way to go If you have lots of them and your machinery is permanently placed.
  23. Patterns are very nice and well drawn. They are printed on both sides 20X30". Instructions very detailed. Plans are inside an envelope glued to the inside back cover.
  24. Very nice books for the price. Very well illustrated with mostly excellent color photos. I'm impressed. Will look them over tomorrow
  25. Perfect for any man's workshop.
