    I could never believe that packing tape lubricated blades. However, I did find a use for it. I was cutting a pattern out of Poplar. I was using a very dark portion of the board. As I was cutting the sawdust would remain on top of the pattern covering the pattern lines. The sawdust was dark and tended to stick to the paper pattern and the blower did not remove it adequately. I covered the pattern with packing tape and the slick surface allowed the blower to work flawlessly. That's my tape and I'm stick'n to it!

    We don't know how they are made either. I do know some blades are milled. There also other methods of manufacture.

    Thanks Rolf. I've been needing to tap into my regular DC. I have two Hawks and that would work perfect. Your mounting at the rear of the Hawk is very neat.

    Great impression cutting! When as a young man I used to go fishing in northern Manitoba the first week of June when the ice was going out. Loved to see the loons and see moose swimming in the lakes.

    Visited the Western Minnesota Steam Threshers Reunion a few years ago and observed a great saw mill. I've seen smaller operations but that was fantastic.

    What kind of exposure could you expect in a rental unit? I guess I have just not heard of such a thing here. All the storage units around here have a locked gate with an office out front to give you access. I guess I know nutthin' bout Florida

    If the storage unit is like the ones I've rented there is no adequate lighting, windows, electrical outlets, etc. I would not dream of scrolling under those conditions. I scroll because it is entertaining and stress relieving. But that's just me.
