  1. GREAT! Should hang on everyone's workshop.
  2. Absolutely perfect! I love it.
  3. I just tried this in Open Office and it works, however, the kerning is global and not individual characters. I'm just now experimenting with Inkscape. Rav4 got me off to a jump start. I'm viewing the tutorial on my tablet and following along on my PC. I think eventually I may just get the hang of it. Thanks for all the suggestions offered. Regards, Les
  4. Holy Smokes, you are a busy guy!
  5. What an amazing piece. The work is stunning. You must have an amazing amount of stamina, patience and sticktoitiveness.
  6. I like the cutting. It is simple and so am I. I do like cutting puzzles as they do not take too long and the gratification comes quickly.
  7. I like it. A very clever puzzle.
  8. Good advice. But what would I know? I've never sold anything.
  9. I think the best way to learn Inkscape is with two computers, one to view the tutorials and another to do the exercises while watching. My wife won't let me have her laptop and my tablet is too small to be of use. Life sure isn't fair. BooHoo!
  10. I'm giving up on Open Office. It is only capable of simple things. Inkskape can do infinitely more. Soooooooo I'm gonna give it a try. Thanks for all the kind suggestions. Just typical SSV!
  11. I looked at the Inkscape list of SSV courses. I did not see lesson 1. Are those tutorials still available? I guess I did not understand what I was reading. I think it is all dated 2009 or 2010. I have Inkscape downloaded but don't know what to do with. Migh be easier to pay someone to make names. Guess I'm just old and lazy, looking for a simple way. However, I would make an attempt to learn Inkscape if the tutorial still exists.
  12. I also use office because I won't pay for Microsoft Word. I have Inkscape down loases but it looks intimidating.
  13. I found the same thing but could not get it to work for dome reason.
  14. I can see why. Very nice.
  15. I know "Word King Kevin" uses Microsoft Office for most of his great word art. I however, do not have that but use Open Office. Does anyone here use it? I have lots of fonts but I have no idea how to kern characters unless I just print them, cut them out and paste them which I can do especially if characters are not to be evenly aligned. But lots of times kerning is easiest.
  16. Beautiful. Could use that in our kitchen.
  17. I love the clock and so would my Rabbi. Is it your design? And, where did you get the clock with Hebrew letters? Splendid!
  18. Thanks. I guess GOW is the only way to go!
  19. WOW, very nice!
  20. I'm really glad you got the saw. My 16" Hawk does not have a quick release. However, being only 16" reaching for the tension relief lever is quick. Don't think I'd be happy with longer reach without a quick release. Enjoy your new saw.
  21. Google Pike Blades. They make blades for nonferrous materials.
  22. Beautiful. A CNC drill would be great!
  23. Love owls and pandas.
  24. Wonderful work!
