Dan I am sure not an expert but I use the FD UR5 a lot. Maybe with more experience I will change.

Great job cutting these puzzles. I looked on the web site where you bought your patterns and they have some great patterns. I got it book marked. Thanks
  4. I will be sure and vote. There ought to be some good entries.
  5. Man that is nice.
  6. Ron thank you for doing this. I know it will mean a lot to the officer you are giving this to. I am also very proud of you and wish I could shake your hand.
  7. Bill I have the same problem as you, but I can tell I am getting a little better. I hope after Christmas I will have more time to scroll. I have been making presents and not all of them are scroll saw work. So maybe if you and I can get a little practice in we will be as good as these guys that have posted before me. By the way hope you become a regular poster here. You and I might just have us a race to see who can turn corners first.
  8. It's been a long time since I have seen that, It's still just as true as it ever was.
  9. So glad to have you back. Hope to see some of your work soon.
  10. Great display Edward. Yep rearrange the dust and start over.
  11. They already have a hole, it just needs to be bigger. The only way I might have to do it would be with a forstner bit. I really don't know if they will cut plastic or not.
  12. I have some extra plastic inserts for my router table and would like to make the hole in one of them a little bigger. Just guessing I would think I need to slow the speed down but I don't have a clue on what blade I need to use.
  13. Melanie I like the second one the best and I think they will to.
  14. Jim your sales didn't sound all that bad when you compare the dollars but then there is profit to compare. It's driving that far that would get to me. I am sure that there must be a lot of sales you could go to this time of year.
  15. Scott you know we will need pictures when your through. $10 doesn't sound bad for what you got. Now you have to learn German.
  16. I think as long as it's inside the wood or finish will not make a difference. It's really the sun that does more damage than anything, then it getting wet I think would be next. For a clear finish spar varnish will hold up about as good as any thing but will have to be refinished every year or two. Two at the most. http://www.minwax.com/wood-products/clear-protective-finishes/interior-exterior/minwax-helmsman-spar-urethane
  17. Maybe next year Travis could broaden what he wants for the book.
  18. I thought about making one of Steve Goods adapters but I have trouble unscrewing them after tightening with my hand. I am afraid I have been getting them to tight with my bare hands. It sure would be nice to have some made of steel. Hello Hello!!! Any machinist out there?
  19. These are the mops I bought and I should have bought them years ago. It seems I find a use for them almost every day. http://www.woodworkingshop.com/product/mm07204/
  20. $400!!! Rob I think you done great.
  21. I know I could learn a lot. I have been thinking about calling my Woodcraft store about attending one of their classes.
  22. You can also run your fingers lightly up and down the blade to see if the the teeth are going down. The teeth should be pointing down.
  23. You might be surprised what an electric motor repair shop can do. I have been happy with the one in our town. They work on all types of motors.
  24. Bryan you are a man I would like to come see. I love tools but I am out of room. I really hate that because I will be getting nothing for Christmas.
  25. Yeah Ed I hope you become filthy rich at your last show of the year.
