  1. I really like a clean shop but it doesn't seem to ever happen.
  2. I am sorry when I posted this I was thinking about a table saw. In my next life I am going to learn to read.
  3. Jerry from what I have read and folks I have talked to Delta is junk. Sorry to be so blunt. I would take it back and get your money back then look for a good quality table saw.
  4. Are you sure it's Alder you are cutting? I haven't cut Alder on the scroll saw but I have on the table saw and it is pretty soft and easy to work with. PS - I wonder if there is more than one kind of Alder?
  5. Very nice Rolf and I think they will sell. It's that season. I might try to cut it myself.
  6. This is what I do to run my sanding mop at the speed I want. The small clamp can be set to run the drill from very slow to wide open.
  7. Your doing great Kevin. I am waiting to see more.
  8. Dave I agree. This is a combination belt and spindle sander and I use it often. I do wish it was variable speed. I have had mine for about three years. http://www.homedepot.com/p/RIDGID-Oscillating-Edge-Belt-Spindle-Sander-EB4424/100061671
  9. For what you are doing just use the glue you have on hand. It doesn't take much of a glue to do what you want as I understand it.
  10. Guys are like that when they are madly in love. I am talking about being confused. I maybe old but I can remember being young and in love.
  11. I am glad she is okay Jim.
  12. I really like that, you did a real good job. I might have to try it myself.
  13. Randy I am also pretty new to scrolling and have been looking for that magic speed and blade combo. I think the magic we need is experience so good luck in putting it all together.
  14. I hope in 4 years I can do as good as you when you started out. Very well done.
  15. Scott I really like the last one. You did a great job on all of them but you excelled on the last one.
  16. Bobby your doing a great job. One of these days I am going to have to drive down and let you teach me a thing or two.
  17. I told you If I could do it you could do it also but I didn't say it would be easy. I agree painting can be a pain but as in your project it needs to be done.
  18. I new you were going to do good when you posted a picture of your display booth.
  19. Thanks Jesse. I like it and I am going to cut a few if you don't mine.
  20. I can't help either but there are great people who can on this forum. Ain't life great?
  21. Finishing pine has always been a problem and it's not going to change. I try and steer clear of pine in most of my projects unless I am going to paint it. If you are buying pine at a big box store figure up how much you are paying per board foot. I think you will be surprised and not in a good way. Check this place out for good scroll saw ready wood. The great folks here on this forum recommended this place to buy lumber and they are right. http://www.ocoochhardwoods.com/
  22. I also like Watco Danish oil but I am going to try BLO and mineral spirits.
  23. I am sorry to Mrs.N. I think I am going to cry.
  24. I bought the 4000 model and at it's slowest speed which is 5000 RPM it seems under powered. I do know that tool gets it's power from speed but when I turn it up very much it burns the wood and over heats the bit. For those that drill holes using the Dremel tool what is your solution or advice?
  25. I just quite using painters tape and so far I like it better. Using mineral spirits to get the pattern off works very well and doesn't raise the grain in the wood.
