  1. I got it. It,s carpet to wipe your feet on and your cutting down on the dirt you bring into the shop.
  2. When it comes to Christmas my wife is still a child.
  3. Maybe they would come down a little. If you are really interested I would check into it. I would pay for it with Pay Pal that way you will be covered.
  4. That is a good idea Roly. Thanks
  5. I have made a few other little things but this is my first real scroll saw project and it has taken me it seems for ever. Sawing it out was easy compared to the finishing. I do think I am going to put it on a base so it will be not so easy to break. I would like your opinion on how to finish the base. I could leave it natural or paint it white or green even red or what ever. Thanks I still need to buy the reins so Santa can drive the reindeer.
  6. I sure like my EX16.
  7. I like the first two the best. Where did you get the patterns?
  8. Very nice Monti.
  9. Ike from the title I thought you were leaving.
  10. Very nice Ike. That would make great Christmas presents.
  11. I have a problem making sharp turns too. I guess we need to practice more.
  12. Here is a conversion chart for drill bit sizes. I thought it might be helpful. https://www.icscuttingtools.com/pdfs/ICS-drill-chart.pdf
  13. Is there a computer program that will let you make your own clock faces? Maybe something like Sketch/Up. What about getting someone to paint a clock face? Once you get one clock face you can make as many copies as you need. I know some clock faces are mane of paper. I am just throwing ideas out there.
  14. You think if you called them and offered to buy a quantity of them they might special order them for you?
  15. A jointer isn't about getting nice glue joints. It is for getting one bottom or top flat and square with one edge. Then a thickness planer and table saw will get the other side flat and parallel with the other and the table saw gets the other edge flat and parallel.
  16. No problem Mike I was confused. It doesn't take much to confuse me.
  17. So are y'all saying this isn't a Charles Dearing pattern??? It looks like it was to me.
  18. Yep keep the old brain a working Paul.
  19. Sure it works. I still do it at times.
  20. I found it. You are right it is a Charles Dearing pattern. It seems he has some patterns on Face Book but I don't do FB but I did find it when I Googled his name. https://www.google.com/search?tbs=sbi:AMhZZiuNSkULYxdAtNWjJKl27nkEWYyX0EE7mKadmluiEiZ4jJtNt5USCu8MHQ7tHIEP8ht66jC3507nwWTxXgQbkrqeOGxx_1w15u9dYGiVwohmxY6SIGCA3A-st-ZbhfSqwP3rpZkL7y2d2vTn-lA3g4ZhHpt5dqUiA0Ih0KVJpd5D2kLaHn7LuSOKEvCnNtK8j7tFdxzCSF0gTzUpuLthmgfcPaIG4f_1YSTikrW-uoCtwGLZ8LQnuX0SH6PqxHAMVlh-pcY0EQXIcRoE3v4ASIbzxQk4BwikyLHj4ycAlOQyWzbyRdv9YdFB7GkSwUirntxkLopsjK4hKf4_1scRZhUUYIRlJeYcJODlZko-QgbyCG13zpt8ZxML8os2NEhq2bGOgj0lkFOyi1ykYq9e-Q9Pugh5PoyMi43g8D3wlhnD0wSZbsASvDOdkh06PkYLyYeUDC7qlLFR0O7f0dXYyxcVHZ1GUlV63kdfJHwJGiKQyKVrMsvfEGU5KLzXY_1o_1v3B5xvWST6aGpfxiq1N_1sttkGLl7wAzUz6ay1_1t5rLjS6zwYBgO6dIwX7HpN3JkuuMZ9ZiUQ_1io4hjKysnQOW0Vt1_1L-61WxaouqYAEbZyyikUILgxsRukd7zdeGoI7GOGTb4oJfIViXmYpSA4hpyL2cybldszTXGaQSaP5ZecCQ_1szhyAgpzi9f6Ascd_1ACIkgmYicMsTlt1KJmIfggIN_1MFc1_1dBJGlS-JIu0AZx4q6x0B5CmuNG4Rofn5vpq8Tm-_1j_1IBa4uB_1w6NXHEidXtiRCTCpyErKPV1_13btCFaONZdG3BzEa9qECLJ2SERy5b5jOgH4-NkQbHRQkGyT8aZuJC5H1hgjGOR1MldFkgF2T9UBgsX76eAFUrfqRzYxYRIBbBD5_1qi2FLHayJsuy4ZqHrJa6Zrb8OCZQAmW6XpADLldoXoNj2a9liJUyPAKUGye3_13JrIck5b56FYpcDiQLIiGuxVnnW4muGUIkwYVX_1Bgb9Ykw8-dna4O6Hh3S3-btRvxfXd4NnTZqgnsYk6cFos-cWzuOtOXvg_1hn8KzzyO-mHCsvKpkpNh1iWhknQy7urL_1DREwIQhw7yOc9GvQDbXtgYmu5QsIxHAp4WsVHQLtifFVcEGVFCfEwNFD9iXjIAwwmfuHd7y9L9w5FbpCAjNZU6SDoqMojjzuvqeJkMJm7QNHI27NIIUbKUIAI4HSGEDBjLgbwG032iqfZ2OkkorT5_1umSV9YCM1wc-4M9fvuRC5eppRuhCg4swgm1ULxcGQtTlD8-1tcuChFnMWt4pAijhU90QAT9YdF_1ADFndlWNtdxzZOErYU_1rP1lteBG0LhtHmckYql1o00xhbv7bjXiivdD-wOfUTnPIlo3Zws2ZR2NiQbcCpdexJc1Hy2YlgvqQd_1ZZd0KTGbnB1aEJcH3d7A1I4WbIEKuxFs1_1AT-eTscuWJVpUck9cOR68p3e-G6WlzIScjOMczDobsEU5cW-XHO2vMeKtb6y-20vnZcMgqTdae98oldeIDNrmdleNpwfnKWovFOTp4XJgkScO1CdcAkyvJvCTCP0o2yP_19_1YochVySGyGwY81bJuhEQmBkNAA8ROc-dyovTpBegDLrzZ44IldXQ3_1CCOwUDQmrEZkQzzhsb4NUqylICMwRvqVIcCBPD
  21. Tony I have heard good things about this jointer on "The Router Forum".
  22. Here is a link to Lee Valley but I can't find the blade lube Ron is talking about. Lee Valley is a great company to buy from. http://www.leevalley.com/US/Wood/Index.aspx
  23. Jim I also have a 20" box fan that I set up this week but I put a small fan blowing across the table toward the box fan. I run the small fan on low speed and the box fan on high. This set up is really working well.
  24. Make a sanding station. Here is a video but there are a lot more on line. You can also buy them.
  25. Rusty the first picture is my jet jointer. It is a 6" jointer and a 6" wide board is all it will joint. The problem with a bench top jointer is the table isn't very long. The longer the table the better it will joint a board and the longer board it will joint. An 8" jointer will joint a wider board (8") and the longer table it will have. This picture is a DeWalt 735 thickness planer and will plane a board 13" wide. For the thickness planer to do a good job you have to have a board that is flat on one side and one edge which is done on the jointer. The thickness planer will only plane what the other side is telling it to do. In other words if you have a dip on the bottom side and run it through the thickness planer you will have a dip on the planed side. There is a lot of videos on You-Tube you should watch. Also a good place to get information is on the Router Forum. Here is a link. http://www.routerforums.com/forum.php
